I will also be updating the day's post as it happens, instead of at the end of the day.

Today's lifts:

 

OHP: 5x120, 5x140, 5x155

Dips: 5 sets. 15,14,10,10,8. Went to parallel, which I had not been doing, so they became significantly harder.

Pullup: 1x6. And then I died.

 

Today's foodz:

Preworkout: ON preworkout, one eggo waffle, one piece potato bread with almond butter.

Post workout: Combat whey, egg bake, nutrigrain bar.

midmorning eats: Cold brew coffee with chicory and ham and chedder croissant. Hit my respawn calories.

Lunch: BBQ chicken, garden salad, garlic and cheddar mashed potaties.

Dinner: zucchini fritters and mashed cauliflower with cheddar and bacon

breakfast: Turkey bacon and egg white breakfast sammich, venti toasted coconut cold brew

midmorning: nutrigran

lunch: bbq chicken, cheddar and bacon mashed cauliflower

midafternoon: moar chicken, donut(!)

dinner: fish sticks, garlic fries, roasted brussel sprouts

dessert: small piece of red velvet cake. glass of 2% milk.

I did after a 20 hour day. Up at 4 am for gym and no sleep till vegas at midnight.

BB Good Morning: 12x115 for 5 sets

 

Ab rollout: 5 sets of 10

 

FOODZ:

 

Pre workout: two eggs blueberry waffles, ON preworkout

 

Post workout: turkey bacon breakfast sammich, Java chip Frap w/ no sugar. Combat protein shake.

 

Lunch: Chinese buffet. No ragrets. It was delicious.

 

Dinner: on the road chicken nuggets, apple slices, and lemonade.

 

Vegas baby!

DB Bench: 2x60x15, 3x60x12

DB One Arm row: 3x80x10 (stopped because shoulder started to hurt in the wrong way)

 

7-2:

BB Squat: warmup: 45x5, 135x5, 185x5. work: 215x5, 255x5, 325x2 (this was supposed to be 285, but bumper plates are new and I mathed wrong)

Leg press: 5x360x15

leg extension: 2x170x12, 3x180x12

leg curl: 3x125x12

Ok, so maybe not every day. But more when I feel like it. Less stress on keeping track. I can get behind this.

 

GAINZ:

DEADLIFTS: warmup: 5x135, 5x185, 3x225. work: 5x315, 3x380, 3x405 NEW MOTHERLOVING PR!

Hanging leg lifts 3x15

Then a round of card PT

31 squats

18 decline situps

10 mountain climbers (each leg)

7 Plyo pushups

 

FOODZ:

Dealing with some hardcore crashing mid-morning, so I'm trying a morning intermittent fasting for the next month or so. Day one has seen success so far. No crash. Little bit lethargy after lunch, but that's too be expected with a heavy lunch I imagine.

 

Lunch: BBQ Ribs, mac and cheese, grilled pineapple, ginger ale, 2 chocolate chip cookies.

Looking back I should probably have skipped the cookies.

snack: strawberry nutrigrain, small handful of trailmix

post lift: protein shake

dinner: zucchini enchilada boats

dessert: halo top, casein shake.

OH Hey, I found my battle log! I should get back to this.

 

Since I'm not really tracking my workouts in challenges lately, I'll start putting them back here. Particularly since I'm starting to mess with new workouts and exercises. Starting with the hang clean!

 

I'm incorporating a lot of Tabata style exercises with the 20 second work 10 second rest x8.

 

Shoulder workout.

Tabata: Two-Handed Overhead Kettlebell Swing w/ 20 lb KB

Warmup, alternative to doing pass throughs or other shoulder things. Definitely got my blood warmed and ready.

 

Hang Clean: 1x135x5, 2x145x5, 1x55x5, 1x155x3

First ever Oly style lift! It was fun, challenging but not impossible, and I learned that you MUST do these with collars.  >_>

(I actually recorded this particular set, I may post it if I get over feeling foolish)

 

Bilateral Cable Raise (beast mode): 4x12.5x10. Pause at the top and 8 second negative.

These hurt, even at 12.5 lbs. The negative really put some emphasis on the TUT. 

 

Standing DB press: 3x25x15

Liek so dead.

 

Tabata: Overhead Lateral Raise:  5x12.5, 3x10

I died on these. Blasted the shit out of my lateral delts. 

 

I was supposed to finish this off with another tabata for upright BB rows, but I ran out of time before I had to pick up grimble. Plus, ya know, death.

Friday was an Epic Leg Day. And it Murdered me.

 

Superset:

Weighted squat bottom hold. Grabbed a 35 lb plate and held the bottom of a squat for 30 seconds

TRX Squat Jumps: 30 seconds

2 sets

 

BB Squat:

155x15, 185x10, 205x5 Definitely out of practice here, but you gotta start somewhere.

 

BB Squat Cluser set: 12 reps over 3 minutes at 225.

 

BB Squat 4 Minute AMRAP: Skipped. I was fried at this point and really didn't feel like dropping the weights. So I moved on to...

 

Leg Press 4 minute AMRAP: 315 lbs. 53 reps. Every muscle in my leg was fried by the end of this. But we're not done yet!

 

Unilateral ascending leg curls. 21 reps, by two sets, 130 lbs. In short. you start with one rep on each leg, then increase by one until you hit 6 reps, no break in between swaps until 6 consecutive reps have been achieved by each leg. Holy balls.

 

BB BSS: 2x6x135. I was toast. Burnt Toast. Burnt toast with Jelly On top. I did them in a squat rack and the last rep everything fell. The weights, the bar, the Grumble, you name it. I think I sat there for about 3 or 4 minutes before I took the elevator downstairs. There was no way in gods green earth I was walking down from the third floor.

 

Later I decided to jaywalk instead of walking down to the crosswalk. I couldn't move faster than a slow walk. My legs were shaking just standing still. 

 

Today we went to the zoo and they feel alright, but are already at day 2 sore for a normal leg day. This is gonna be some magical shit tomorrow morning.

Tabata Pec Deck: 90x10

 

DB Incline Bench: 55x15, 60x10, 65x4

 

BB Bench Cluster set: 12 reps

 

BB Bench 4 Minute AMRAP: 135x21

 

DB Lying Svend Press to Pullover 4 minute AMRAP: 35x24

 

Pec Deck Unilateral Ascending Reps: 105x21.

 

Tabata Pushups: 1/2, then death.

 

It's almost 5 hours later and my chest still feels weak as a babe. I'm gonna hurt this weekend.
