So stomach issues are back AND today is the first time I've ever had to go to jury duty.

No jury selection but I did have to go 2 days, so I got out of work for 2 days. It would have been cool if I didn't feel like total crap.

 

This week has been total failure. Between either a stomach bug, a migraine that went on for days, potential stress, and anxiety I did very little of my challenge if any at all. 

 

Also almost made it a year with no soda but needed the bubbles to calm the stomach down on Tuesday. I will say that soda now tastes really sweet and kind of gross. I still love the bubbles though.

Have you tried sparkling water? You get the bubbles without that sweetly gross taste. I really don't like tonic or seltzer water, but just regular carbonated water (with a bit of flavor) is pretty good (depending on the brand).

Yes! I've tried and enjoyed both the Perrier Green Apple and multiple flavors of La Croix. Tuesday I was stuck with a soda machine and nothing fancy. :(

Man, failure should not be the word when having to deal with anxiety AND migraine nope

success is waking up when you feel better and doing the thing

July 31 

 

So much cake! I had a potluck and a retirement party AND a birthday on Monday. #sugarcoma Maybe that's why I was so exhausted and able to go to bed at 10pm. 

 

My sister finally got her son back on Monday and that has been a huge stressful thing. Since she was not able to see him on his birthday, the family had a birthday for him on Monday. Poor little guy was used as a bargaining tool and held hostage by his father in order to force my sister into signing the parenting plan HE wanted. She filed a restraining order against him and the judge was appalled the father would use his son that way. But he is back with my sister and at least for the next 14 days he will be properly cared for.

Since it's the end of the challenge and a new month, in addition to challenge goals, I've added some monthly focuses. Basically it's habits that I want to develop. 

 

Health = Cleaning - I'm already doing a pretty good job staying on top of this but I really want to make them habits. The only one that is sticking right now is getting the mail, which I do every Wednesday. I don't even have to think about it. 

Mana = Water - The last month I've noticed that I barely drink water unless I'm super thirsty. My go to drink of choice has been ice coffee. With how many headaches I've had in the last month, I need to cut back. 

Strength = Exercise - I've always struggled with exercise but doing one exercise or however many I want, on a scheduled day has helped a little. Besides the week I was sick. Nothing was happening then. :) 

Stamina = Sleep - The right amount of sleep makes me more productive and I do like being productive. I've realized that cold turkey sleep changes is not helpful to me. My goals have changed and now it's in bed by 11pm and up by 6:30am and then hopefully earlier once this becomes habit. 

Wisdom = Finances - I've had to take a few payments off of auto so I need to stay more on top of bills. I also need to save more and spend less on eating out. 

Constitution = Food - September I really want to do another Whole30. In order to get whole30 ready, I need to start preparing myself for that now. That means cutting back on sugar, breads and getting in the habit of eating at home.

Oh my gosh. That sounds so awful for your nephew! And soooo stressful for everyone all around.

Decided to give blood yesterday and while the donation was the best ever, I had trouble with that arm all day. Every move of my left arm hurt and the needle puncture spot wouldn't stop bleeding until around 7pm. Oh also one of my co-workers gave me some of a King Salmon he caught last weekend! He deboned it and everything!

Also USPS is shitty. I dislike them SOOOOOOO much and no wonder no one wants to use them! 

 

I'm expecting a package and they attempted to delivery it last night and said they left notice. HATE TO TELL YOU MOTHERTRUCKERS but I was home all night and no attempt was made and no notice was left....Calling them is the worst because you only get some shitty automated robot who can't help you.

If you get through to an actually person, it really isn't any better. At my old apartment we had so many issues with "attempts". We also had issues with them throwing our packages up the stairs. I think whoever was on our route just didn't like that we lived on the third floor.

I'm pretty sure my regular mail carrier hates me. I'm the person who checks her mail once a week if I remember to. All I get is junk mail or those coupon books. The person on the phone was ok. I mean you only call the post office when  they are being shitty so I tried to not be a total bitch. She set my package up for re-delivery and sent an email complaint about my local post office so, who knows what will happen. Maybe I'll never get my package but it;s supposed to be here today....hopefully!

News advised us to NOT exercise outside this week....like I would because it's so freaking hot! Due to the smoke from the wildfires from Canada Western WA's air quality is worse then Beijing. I can't imagine dealing with this everyday. Finished reading Changes by Jim Butcher, finished my weekly bujo page for next week and did some cleaning and thinking about my next challenge.
