Hahaha, nope. That would just make me so frustrated at being reminded of what I can't do.  I have a pretty good imagination so I just picture future me being able to do cool stuff like touch my toes or tie my shoes without putting a knee on the ground. That is my motivation for now.

What helped when I did FF me was to take a picture  every couple of weeks, so I could have a visual picture of my progress. Most of the time I can't tell I've made progress, but with the photos I could see it. Course , the voice in my head told me it wasn't enough, cause the stupid voice always has to find something to gripe about. Why do we listen to that voice anyway?

Intereresting idea. Half of my stretches are ankle stretches so not sure how much change I would be able to see even in pictures.  The hip stuff may be noticeable, though.

The hip you could tell. Ankle I'm not sure about. For me on ankle stretches, I'm just hoping to see improvement when I'm hiking, and my ankles won't be wobbly

I got my FF in last night without too much objection from Chad, but he came out swinging this morning.  Starting about halfway through my first series:

 

Chad: Man, you are feeling pretty sore, you should probably just finish up this series and call it a day.

WhiteGhost: Nope, this is the last day before my business trip so I can't move this to tomorrow

CD3: Yeah, but you are really sore.  And hungry.  You only had a brownie for breakfast, no way you can get through all 3 series

WG: Pre-workout will kick in any minute now. That will get me through

CD3: But did you see these?

ugggh. My flight to Shenzhen this morning was supposed to leave at 9:20am. It is now 12:30 and they just announced that the new expected departure is currently 17:30 :(

Well, I am still in the airport and they are saying best guess is maybe 23:15.  Luckily I have A Feast For Crows to keep me company. I am going to get soooo many points for the doodlie PvP

Well, the plane I am supposed to get on still hasn't taken off from it's previous airport and they are now saying 2:30 is the earliest possible departure. That would mean an 8am arrival at the earliest for a 9am meeting.  In the meantime, a major thunderstorm has moved in and they aren't likely going to be letting any planes land or take off in it.

 

I talked to my boss and told him I am not going to make it to the meeting in the morning so we agreed it would be best to just skip it, so I am now back at home :)

Not the best way to spend a day, but luckily technology has progressed so that I could keep up to date with all the changes from my phone. I found a nice place to sit and curled up with a book :)

Definitely congratulations! If I went I would have been spending my birthday in freaking Dongguan rather than here at home with the fam :)

Week 1 Summary

 

Mission 1: Improve Grip Strength 3x/week  included in Mission 2

Pretty happy with where this is going.  My forearms still have DOMS from last week, though

 

Mission 2: Muscle Up Routine 2 Days/Week

3 of 2 for the week.  My trip to Dongguan was unexpectedly cancelled so I put in another workout on Saturday morning

 

Mission 3: Focused Flexibility 5 Days/Week

3 of 5 for the week.  I was doing pretty good the later part of the week and even got a session in after I got back from the airport.  Didn't get home Saturday until after midnight so I didn't stretch and then last night I lost track of time and ended up not getting to bed until after 1am, so no stretching for that either

Mission 4: Homemade Meal 1/Week

I expected I was going to be gone over the weekend so I made spaghetti on Thursday, which I am counting for the challenge although I prefer something I haven't made before to expand my repertoire  a bit.  Ate way too much over the weekend.
