What's interesting is that the other cat (age 8), who has "raised" two kittens, is much more standoffish with this one. He comes over and checks her out and sniffs her, and has licked her on the head once or twice, but he's not palling around with her like Leon (Mr 17 Lbs) has been. Those one-legged squats, though. I was going to try the next NFA boss battle yesterday, but it needs a jump rope. I'll bring one to the gym next week and try it then, although I have not been doing the NF workouts much. But, you know, experience points. I need experience points. I'm resisting taking another set of measurements because I don't think I've made any progress and think I've probably backslid. That's not a reason to avoid it, but I'm doing it anyway. 2. I haven't been running lately (except on the elliptical at the gym, which is pretty dull). I think I've just got to recognize that running in Georgia summer heat is impractical for me, and expect to give it a break every June-Sept or so. Sunny summer days here are amazing as we got loads of it, aaaaall day long (and almost all night...) but it never gets that hot. We get a lot of "breaks" in our autumns and winters here, where we'll have a nice day or two before it gets cold again. I often feel like that when that happens! But not in the summer; it's just brutal and oppressively hot sometimes. (Not that it gets what a European would call "cold" very often. I do know some people that do very early or very late runs to try to avoid it, but that sounds like a huge lifestyle shift just to do some cardio. The kickboxing is probably helping keep your heart/endurance in good shape in the mean time! I maxed out most of it (assisted one-legged squats, push-ups, slow negative chin-up) but the jump rope was my undoing. The max score possible was 60, and my best was 20.
