Wow. Sounds like you have it way more together than I do. I only have a TFSA and an RRSP (although I'm thinking strongly about getting a high interest savings account as well). I prefer to use cash myself but it's more inconvenient like you say (although it does save me from extra debit charges for making too many transactions). When I'm being good any left over money at the end of the month gets tossed into my savings.

I have done a ton of different variations on my lifts over the last few years. I tend to break it down as 1 step variations ansd 2 step variations (occasionally 3 step but not very often), with the concept being that a 1 step variation is pretty similiar to the competition lift and only changes 1 thing. For example: going from high bar squatting to low bar squatting or flat shoes versus oly shoes. 2 step and 3 step variations get less and less specific the more shit you change. So most of the variation for my main lifts would be 1 step variations, but you can get wackier with accessory work. My favourite variations for my main lifts: Squat (my comp lift is low bar with oly shoes) - safety squat bar - box squat (+/- safety squat bar) - using chains Bench - closegrip bench (this has done the most for my progress) - floor press - chains DL (my comp lift is conventional) - Sumo - Conv or sumo off blocks or deficits Using pauses or doing tempo work has never felt right to me, but is also an option.

Well, it's time for a serious decision. We heard from the lawyer today that the boundary line cannot be changed or the lot would be out of compliance with the city. If the neighbors try to claim the land in the future (which would require $$$ going to court on all sides), the lot could become defunct. The land in question is in a grey area - as per the title the land belongs to (would be) our lot, but there has been a chain link fence for 30 years clearly showing that the neighbors have been caring for the space - and is a big bargaining chip for them in said theoretical litigation. I'm hard pressed to think that neighbors or the city would want to see a functioning lot become defunct, but it is a gamble. We have the legal right to walk away without any loss at this point. We do love this house but is there too much at stake? We're not materialistic to the point where WE MUST HAVE THIS HOUSE. What happens if the land is out of compliance? Lawyer and realtor seem unfazed. Neither think this is likely, but it is a possibility. Looks like there's going to be a serious conversation tonight.

mmm it was kind of psychology therapy about why they auto sabotaged themselves when they're feeling happy, before life came breaking down. As they are saying above @NicTheRugger and @Cheetah. YOU ARE COURAGEOUS! here's a penpen for you!

Food: Under 1200 calories. Fruits and vegetables at three meals...if you agree with me that onion rings are technically a vegetable. Exercise: 1 hour of elliptical, plus about half an hour of packing and moving books, which definitely is exercise even if it doesn't happen in the gym. Barnaby Rudge: 51%

Been sick with cold picked up at choir. Exercise: been doing good. missed one week because of pain from furniture moving Eating: not so good, didn't stick to plan Music: good. I did the DVD for the Total Gym three times a week except for one week, when pain. I don't love the total gym but I hate it less than any other form of exercise and do it consistently. Win! The times i have lost weight I have had no access to a kitchen. Cheap rooms post divorce, and after I landed a job hotels because I was working a lot of overtime away from home. Then during the fires, when I was evacuated and staying in hotels. hmmm. Problem is I wasn't worried about blood sugar at those times. Starting to make music a higher priority in my life again. It's a way I can give back and want to be doing more.

I saw Iggy Pop at an outdoor festival with ten thousand people in 1997. I was in the mosh pit with a bunch of filthy punks and it started to rain. It was an awesome show.

5/18/19 Saturday It was a cold (40F 5C) and windy day. I went for a ride, got about a mile in and said, "to heck with it" and went home. A stronger man might have put on warmer gear on and gone back out. It was nerd night. We played Nefarious, which was fun, and Cards Against Humanity, which was not. It was taco night, not pizza night; I'm not complaining. 5/19/19 Sunday Even colder and windier and rainy all day. When I woke up I saw snow by the fence. It was just a little bit of slush, but still. I did not train. I might have set up the trainer, but yuck. The family and I went to an big art crawl. It was cool. We went to a building that used to be a General Mills research laboratory and got lost in the basement. None of the doors were locked and I literally walked into the boiler room and an ancient industrial kitchen. The basement was also flooded to make it even more creepy. It would made for the start of a good dungeon crawl. We watched a glass blowing demo and did a couple of other activities. I was going to buy a couple of things, but one (acrylic dragon) was surprisingly expensive and the other artist (abstract painting) couldn't be bothered to acknowledge me. The food trucks were gone by the time we figured out how to get out. No pizza was eaten. 5/20/19 Monday The sun came out. It warmed up a bit. I did a 22 mile ride. It wasn't much, but I hit a couple of decent hills. Dinner was a bit small so for dessert I ate half a leftover pizza from the sort-of fancy pizza place (pepperoni, extra cheese). BTW, my diet is basically carbs, cheese, and butter these days.

Wolfie, what have you done? [A Wolfpool Chapter]

Oh no! Rurik is MIA too? Maybe his beard consumed the rest of his body and he's now became the Beard Beast of the North. I hear they hibernate during this time of year... LOL. Thank you for moving this over, Sylvaa . You're my hero! Yusss!! We shall be returnsies togethah!! Oh ok, lol. Well in that case, I highly recommend going to see it soon. It's so good, in fact, that they've already announced John Wick 4 will be released 05/21/2021 . Though, I'm pretty sure that Keanu cut his hair (which makes me sad) and will need to get on growing that out ASAP. John Wick without John Wick hair is just not as cool haha. J-pool! Good to have ya brother Yesterday's Workout- 05/20- PUSH day 5 min warm-up w/ foam rolling, light c&p and shoulder mobilization 2x6 DB Floor Press 1x12 w/ 25's 1x10 w/ 30's 1x8 w/ 35's 2x6 w/ 45's 1 min push-ups 13 total 2 min HS practice w/ wall 1-1-1 Dips 2 rounds: Triceps cable push down > OH triceps cable extension > triceps push down iso hold 15/12/10 seconds w/ 40# 12/8/5 seconds 2 rounds: 10x kneeling DB OH press w/ 20# -rest pause- kneeling DB OH press TF (till failure) 10/12- R 10/11- L 2 rounds: 10x Arnold Press w/ 15's -rest pause- Arnold press TF 10/8 10/6 2 min Shadow Box Stretch/cooldown for 10 min My pushing power is WEAK. A lot of this is my lack of pushing exercises since I basically hurt my shoulder back in 2016. I tend to baby my left side. I will continue to take it easy(er) on push days compared to others and slowly work my way up. I broke my streak on the bible app... *sigh* but I still did my morning routine of listening to a sermon and then some worship music on my commute to work yesterday. That's still a win in my book. So far, the challenge is going swell. I'm a little sore from DOMS, but nothing new there. I need to embrace and embody the spirit of John Wick and fight through the pain so I can continue my mission. Today marks a pull day and I'm going to get after it! Wolf

Kinda? We set monthly budgets for everything and then we either know what the budget per time shopping (like we have about $75 for groceries every week, so we just know if we're a little over or under each time we go) or it's a one time deal which can either be a. a single or very small purchase (like a birthday gift where we know we have $40, the end) or b. a personal expense, usually that repeats (like we each get a "personal budget" of $80/month that we can spend on whatever we want or save up, completely separate and free from the rest of the family) and we trust each other that we're keeping proper track on our own. For a while we took most of the money out in cash, which helped us get used to it (much easier to track than cards!) but it's a pain in the butt to go get the cash every month, obnoxiously inflexible - no just stopping off at the store on the way home if you don't have the envelope with you, and you can earn things like travel miles with your card you're not getting when you use cash. Cash also slows down rollover between months - if we have extra, it just goes into the next month's budget, which doesn't have to be specifically accounted for if it never actually went anywhere. So we (mostly) stopped and run primarily digitally/on cards now. Savings, retirement, and other such things are included in the monthly budget, and I always leave a "buffer" of about $100-$200 for whatever things pop up we couldn't or just didn't predict at the start of the month. There are even...without looking it up I'm going to guess 8? different savings accounts because it's easier to visualize and know where each "fund" is that way compared to having it all smashed together into one account. So we have a savings account for car expenses, another one for house expenses, one for travel, one for the toddler's future expenses, etc. I don't know where every single penny goes, but I do know where every dollar is at least supposed to go...and they largely make it there

No way. Yours is way better. Thanks. Thanks brother. We shall. I don't have a very good challenge track record. Hah. Thanks. I'm a simple man. Pepperoni. Pineapple. Extra cheese. Although I will eat a cheeseburger pizza or a taco pizza for the novelty. There's no challenge like an unchallenge. lol. It's good to see you here. Oh my God. Hah. I'm not sure that would be good for my career.

My favourite character is Tressa, but H'annit's story is really great! If I remember correctly, she speaks a very rural accent in the original Japanese. I guess the best way to translate this was to use this weird old-style English... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Welcome! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So...
