Sweating like a boss. How to fix?

Bit late responding... I read somewhere that there can be medical reasons for excessive sweating, though I can't recall if there was an easy solution. If it's a problem more generally it might be worth checking out... But if it's just post-workout then probably not worth stressing about! A little online search brought this up: https://www.healthline.com/health/hyperhidrosis#types Good luck!

    What Makes a Hero?

I've always admired heroes, but felt the traits that make one is rather ambiguous. So I ask you, what do you feel makes a hero? What traits must a hero possess and actions they should perform to become one?

    Bouncer Connects with Food

Thanks all for the likes... Very much enjoyed when I get on. I have fallen off the Whole30 wagon... At first not hard but then I kind of just sat off of it noticing how easy it is to get certain foods. (Such as suckers at my museum job.. And how hard it is to get a good meal that does fill me up - I get easily hangry so going without food isn't an option). And I realized its the feeling hangry and tired... And I'm about to face a 12 hour shift with very little tools to keep me going. I step back and realize I kind of leaned on sugar, not only for cravings but for fast calories... Calories to sustain the hunger I've been feeeling TOO much today. I've turned to sugar (Arby's meal and Mcdonald's for a quick fix so I can get sleep... but not really). And tomorrow unsure. The traveling will stop in a week. So tonight, one last fast food meal. And find stuff to bring to work tomorrow on my morning drive up. Tomorrow is a 12 hour shift. Such as grabbing latte drinks that I liked at the store (that are made with compliant food... just not a good mixture). And some sauce for the veggies I went (ick at). I'm not hitting a train wreck! Just a detour that's going to take longer. I need to take a bit more time to figure out my food. But I believe in myself. I have lost weight, despite my havok of sleep (and that's still better than years past). And that may exactly be what had tempted me off the trail... next to having more meal options to fill me up. Along with running around a bit when I girl just wants to crawl up next to her boyfriend for cuddles (which is partly how I got behind on prep, he's supportive but an extra drive and an hour plus every time I saw him...) I do know I need to plan a little bit more to get through this next week. But I can just worry about tomorrow, and then I have Monday to regroup and tackle my last week of Summer job right before school starts. Have my laptop (that is made for table use only, so may have more updates has we continue on).

    The Tao of Brogojutsu

Went in to work this morning, then came home and played randomized Zelda, drank six beers and spent way to much time down the Cinemasins-youtube rabbit hole: 1) There are a lot of Nick Cage and Bruce Willis movies that are entertainingly bad. 2) I have seen way too many Nick Cage and Bruce Willis movies. 3) Somehow, I have not seen enough Nick Cage and Bruce Willis movies. 4) If Nick Cage and Bruce Willis have not co-starred as rival villains in a highly stylized action-thriller then make it happen.

It was. Am still limping around. Will likely be doing medically required couch potato routine for a few weeks. Physio noticed ankle instability which means likely a 3rd degree sprain. Also she suggested I get evaluated for Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. So there's that.

Grapevine is like five hours from me, but they do have a huge giant mall. Check out the latest season of Queer Eye. Apparently Antony has been getting crap from the other four for years for putting Greek Yogurt in his guac, and on one episode somebody's grandmother was adding sour cream. The other four all thought Antony put her up to it. It really does taste good and works better than lime juice for keeping the guac green.

    Salinger's twenty-forth challenge!

Not at all! Just meant that due to the time, going out would mean going for drinks. And I didn’t want to drink alcohol really tonight as I would go way too far and over drink. Thanks so so much for your support xx

Thanks for the support. I don't think I'll be getting any more bjj in this challenge. Even if it's not torn its going to need some time off and rehab. I will instead be focusing on diet as well as upper body work and fitness. Anything I can do to be kind to my knee I will. Still I'm doing nothing until Tuesday at the earliest.

    Taffythecat builds habits

Love the approach of taking things slowly, I personally fall into the trap of trying to do too much and once and then failing spectacularly. So one finger at first for nail biting and reducing screen time a little at a time sounds like a really good plan!

Sounds like fun, if it’s not too late I’ll be joining too, it’s always good to have a push to try new things. Excited to see if any would be good to incorporate into a regular routine after trying them!

You are doing great with the xbox!! and keep up with the rest, especially sleep. I am sure that your doctor seeing the change was great! How did you react? How did it make you feel?

I have no idea where to begin

Congrats sounds like you’ve got the right mentality and making good progress. And it’s great you’ve found something that work for you! The advice on not comparing yourself is definitely applicable to me. While I can see how some people use it as motivation, I definitely let it get me down sometimes when I think about how long it’ll be to get to where I want to be. But been progressively kicking that negative mentality. Anyway, keep it up!!!
