    I have bankers boxes on a shelf in my basement with all of our stuff for the past seven years. Everything older than that is shredded. Also, once a year (around tax time), I remove the oldest box and update it with the latest years' stuff. I know I don't have to keep everything, but it makes me feel better to do so. I will disclaimer this with the fact that I've never used an entire bankers box for a year, so it's not like I've been keeping a ridiculous amount of things.

    Love the mindful approach! I know I can use more of that instead of behaving like a hungry wolf. I do need to lose some weight, so it is definitely something useful to do. Being mindful while eating. How's that crow hanging? I've been trying it but still got far to go. I need to tweak the pose, some half baby crow -half crow, or something like that.

    I don't know your climate, but if it doesn't get too insanely cold in winter, and your soil is at least 70 dg (F) when you move in, you could do something more permanent than a sunflower - maybe a perennial herb like a lavender, rosemary, thyme?

    Sunday: W1D1 (yes, I know day 1 should be tomorrow, but I like starting my weeks, you know, on the first day of the week) Whisper Grows Up 1 Point for checking off all established habits 5 Points Did enough to set myself up for success the rest of the week, but also recognized the need for rest. 6/6 points Cut the Crap! 1,722 cals, 33% fat, 15% pro, 52% carbs. 0 Point for not eating crap: pizza and iced coffee happened. 0 Point for cals between 2 and 3 thousand. 0 point for fat > 50% 0 point for carbs = 10-20% 0/4 points Not a good food day. Breakfast was late, lunch was skipped. Fitbit says I'm burning between 5k and 6k cals most days, sometimes up over 7k and almost never under 4k. I am trying to make sure to eat enough to stay healthy and sustainably lose the wait. Between Saturday and Monday mornings, I dropped 1.2 pounds, that seems faster than wise. Learn to Sleep Sleep 8:08 to 4:02. 6 hr 39 min asleep, 75 min awake. 1 point for all electronics off at 7:30 1 point for electronics stay off until 4:00 2 points for sleep start by 8:15 1 point for not staying up if I wake up during the night. (yes, 75 minutes, but none of be being "oh look, a book when I should be sleeping") 2 points for physically up by 4:05 7/7 points Woke up at 4 this morning without the alarm and felt ready to get up. I rarely feel that way and would really like to more often.

    I'm a little late to the party, but that's what I do. I've lived with parents (both my own and my S.O.s) and have been able to be successful. I think the hardest part is transitioning from the idea of a parent / child relationship to a roommate relationship (does that make sense?). You can totally do it - just have to be realistic with how the lines are drawn and what the expectations of both sides should be. My husband and I lived with his parents for like a year while saving up money for our own place. We split up bills, chores, and cooking. It worked out really well because I enjoyed cooking and his parents did not. But it is super hard to share space as adults.

    Ok ok ok. Let's rebuild from last challenge. Let's break it down, some goals will be the same, some new challenges are here and some have been dropped. Body Here I'm staying with the same Walk to Mordor, or Winterfell. I've started to walk again, ditching the car so I'm adding 30' of walking every day. Run, run, run. Once a week I'll go sprinting. Most likely hill sprints to make it easier on my knees. (Having run two 10k I know long ones make me bored so, fast and hard). Preferably, on Saturday. (If weather is bad... I will do it on an indoor bike) Lift the world Crossfit twice a week (Wednesday and Friday). I'm rejoining a Crossfit class so this challenge I'll be taking it slowly twice a week. Yoga Yoga every day... I'm going strong with my Yoga teacher training, I have to do 4 classes obligatory per week. I've started to do some yoga sessions at home also. My goal is to get a minimum of 5 hours per week Mind Sleep My last call to go to sleep is by 11.30pm. Here in Argentina, we're quite the night owls so I'll be trying to push it earlier with time. No phone The phone is forbidden to go into the bedroom. If I do I end up watching youtube or Netflix, before falling asleep or before getting out of bed. When it is nowhere near, I read and get up pretty quickly. I don't trust my willpower near it so it's easier to change the environment, aka phone far from the bed. Languages I want to get back to learning and practicing languages so twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays, I'll be devoting one hour to learn, write, listen and talk in French and Italian. I'll be trying a method I got from some polyglots I follow online. Soul Art/music I want to get back to draw and play music every day, so I'll be drawing or playing the piano. Trying to get back used to read sheets... so hard. Meditate/Respiration Every day, at least 5 minutes, in connection with my breath, and myself Other projects Biology Ok, these are not daily goals or habits but weekly. Week 1: Write 1 poster for a congress. Week 2: Write another poster for another congress Week 3: Present the Ethics Report for working with animals to the ethics committee. Week 4: Apply what I'll learn on the postgraduate course of SciComm. Home Batch cooking and no takeout. Start my Bullet Journal. Relaunch my webpage. Declutter every Sunday. It is a lot... But I work better this way. Perhaps it is like a shotgun method...of all these one will get done?

    Hospital bills: you don't need the bill itself, just proof of payment. In other words, the last thing showing they were paid, not the entirety of the bill. Realistically I don't think you need them at all, but what I suggest is a middle ground between Keep it all and Toss it all. Repair paperwork for a car you no longer own: no, you really don't need this. Insurance paperwork and referrals: No, you can get medical records from Dr.s' offices if needed. Old Pay Stubs: No, the W2s and tax information from those years summarize everything on the pay stubs, you can shred the stubs May I suggest to you that if you toss everything out of spite that it is not you that you are spiting but rather anxiety? To be honest, that jerk deserves it anyway.

    I'm going to try adding some points to this and see how that works going forward. This will be fairly subjective but I'm not sure how better to handle it. Currently 6 point potential per day.     Putting her inventory away, Annyshay scanned the area around her quickly. Some large monsters were prowling around the ruins of the barracks that appeared on the main road between the tattered banners. She decided that it made more sense to plunge into the forest to the left and try her luck there. Unfortuantely, the woods had another of the large monsters. The word moblin floated into her mind as she looked at the tall dark skinned beast. She drew her weapon and swiped at the feet of the beast while ducking out of the way of the blows of its club. Her boko club broke, so she was forced to pull out her steel traveler's claymore. She spun round and round and round, slicing at the beasts feet until it groaned and collapsed in a heap near her. She harvested the fangs and guts from the carcass and replaced the claymore on her back. She headed back in to the woods to see what other surprises lay in store.

    My final update is a little overdue, but better late than never. Yoga: 3 classes/practices per week was ambitious but I did it. I want to keep going with this one as it has really helped me to centre my focus. Food: I'm a sugar fiend! During the week I seem to be able to control it but on the weekends I feel the urge to binge a lot more keenly. I think I've got to really take control and not allow that shit into the house. Work: I feel more on top of things, nothing fell apart when I said no to extra tasks. Also, my boss is away for the next week so I'll have a bit of breathing room. All in all I think this has been a good, manageable challenge and I want to continue with it for a while before setting another one. I think I'll be joining The Assassins when I do, who's good to follow there?

    Okay so I got some good progress done yesterday on my sorting/purging clothes. I have 3 garbage bags so far to go to my friend so she can go through it then donate/sell whatever she doesn't want. I have about 2-3 more loads of laundry to wash. And I have old bed sheets with random rips and jeans with crotch / thigh rub holes that I have to do something with. I was thinking of just stuffing one of the bedsheets with the other things and making a crate filler thing for Wesleys crate so its more cozy. I think I will try to sell my 2 bridesmaids dresses I have because really I don't know that I plan on wearing them again. Dress 1 from brothers wedding. I just don't have the boobs for it.. Or rather I don't have the proper bra to make this look good and not show (the back was lower I think). This one I like the style better and I could see me wearing it with a cute jean jacket BUT ... its not super flattering unless I am remembering not to slouch and to suck in the gut haha... Also same bra issue lol For challenge... I am considering saying hit calorie intake again. Because I apparently just suck at macros. I still try to aim to hit them, but this lets me practice without "Failing" my challenge. And when I get better at it, then try for macro counting strickly. I am not sure which is best or better for weight loss.. I feel both are good as long as you don't go "well... i could eat this chocolate sundae for dinner because it fits in my calories...." I was updating my calendar and holy moly things are about to get cray cray. Hopefully with lots of cottage time to go kayak fishing with the BF. He likes the fishing.. I like the kayaking haha. Feeling a little sideways today. This office is way too hot and I am getting a headache. I feel unmotivated about stuff. Ugh. It is probably an unhealthy habit that I always need some big and excited project to work on or else I feel lost lol. I wanna feel right ways up lol.

    Hi everyone!

    Today's weights... 5x shoulder press at 50 lbs Used the Smith machine with a towel on my shoulders to squat 30 kg. Squat rack was being used by an (asshole?) 3x deadlift at 90 lbs =) 9x push ups (still) Jumping up to pull up bar, then holding for 10 seconds, 2x, with 10 sec break in between each. 3x, and 2x 8 inverted rows. 5x chest press with 50 lbs 5x clean and press at 40 lbs (3 sets), 3x clean and press at 50 lbs(someone took the 40 lb barbell). (2 sets) 10x one arm dumbell row with 12 kg weight 60 secs plank About the squat machine - I saw a woman walking to and fro from it while carrying weights, the weights on the squat machine was my squat weight. I asked her nicely if I could use it for a while(using that designated weight) , and she snapped no, she was using it. Didn't look like using it pretty much =o Did only 5 sets due to time constraints. I did try to clean and press the bar, I can, but not comfortably. Also joined a run clinic for their training in the evening and they were doing sprints >< They split themselves into 3 different groups, with Group 3 being the slowest and group 1 fastest. For Tempo/Fartlek/Hills, I fall within group 2, but I make one crappy sprinter so I wisely put myself into Group 3 =) I really don't sprint well, heh. Could be because I can't use my usual breathing pattern (it's also a focus tool for me) for sprinting(don't take in oxygen fast enough) and also I don't sprint very much normally. I also signed up for a 10k run in August (that was before I finished my 5k charity run) so I don't want to embarrass myself after finding out running 5k on open road was more taxing then expected. I'm getting married in November so it's the get in shape so I don't need to use a corset, and while I'm at it, must as well work on being a badass =)

    27.5.19 ACTION TIME SPENT FEELINGS AND SENSATIONS WH BREATHING AND COLD SHOWER 15' + 15º Nice. Tried to focus on how good I'd feel if I showered on cold water instead of using warm water. It kind of worked. MOBILITY 8' + 4' + 3' So tension relieving. MEDITATION 30' Was specially relaxing today. I thought of this moment several times today, wishing I could repeat it later. ICELANDIC 8' + 7' + 5' Fun. MUSIC PRACTICE 1h Not as focused as I'd like. HANGING/PUSHING YOGA (includes handstands) 30' Felt relaxed afterwards.  OUTDOORS RUNNING SKETCHING 10' Fun and very frustrating. I've found out that I'm quite critical on what I draw when I finish it, but a few hours later I'm able to be more objective and understand it's not that bad. GYM Total time: 3h. Excellent morning!

    I find that too, low carb seems what makes me better, but sugar cravings are really strong! That's why I'm skeptical of who demonises sugars as these videos do. I probably shouldn't be watching it when I have studying and blogging to do, but in all fairness if I didn't watch it I'd've just spent the time on reddit rather than being productive. Marcooooooo T_T A mosquito has been terrorizing me all evening, chasing me around the apartment and then disappearing when I try to retaliate. I finally killed her. Unfortunately, she was my third today (one was on my hanging laundry, and another was in my apartment this morning). So it's officially That Time again. A few of my windows can support flower boxes, so I've been thinking I should make a basil perimeter or something. I really hate those bugs, man.
