    Atrytone Tackles the Life Wheel

I've used similar systems in the past, and I know how seeing the low numbers can be depressing. I know you can focus and introspect and feel better. Take care

    WhiteGhost: Deep Thoughts

Ahhh, yay for skill gifs! Grats on your baby knee giants.

    TGP going the distance!

Yay, glad you posted. I, too, keep waiting for life to slow down... but maybe it isn't life that should slow down but me. Interesting to think on... I like what you said about slowing down to avoid the potholes. Maybe it is my speed that is making life seem so fast... the classic Red Queen race. Thnx for the insight!

    KCAleece Gets Fabulous!

I love Zappos! If you ever buy something, and realized it's gone on sale a bit later, they will also comp you the discount if you ask nicely. Their customer service is fantastic! How exciting for baby #2! Mr. and I are contemplating baby #1 late this summer. There are so many things about having kids that totally freak me out, but I do want a family!

    Diadhuit's level up

D and I bought our house back in 2009 (I can't believe it's been 10 years) and I remember what a rollercoaster it was, emotionally and logistically. Buying something so big and expensive and important felt both exciting and incredibly stressful. And there was a whole world of rules and paperwork and things that we had no experience with. But we survived, as have many other first time homebuyers, and you will too! Just remember that it doesn't have to go smoothly or according to plan in order to work out okay in the end. Peace of mind doesn't come from a feeling of security that nothing will go wrong; true peace of mind comes from the confidence that you have the strength and resourcefulness and sense of humour to handle whatever comes your way.

Tateman: One challenge left before Vegas!

Ok, a little more slippage last night. I had that wanting more feeling after I had ate. It wasn't being hungry so much, just a craving I couldn't shake. So I grabbed a quest bar, yet that wasn't enough either. I gave into the peanut butter haha. My wife was looking around for something too, and I guess me talking about ti was enough to help send me off looking too. 2796 Calories, 38.3 net carbs. Oddly though, I still had 397 calories remaining according to chronometer. Still, I am going to have to get myself over these outbursts. 18 hour 4 min fast. Since I ate later now though, to get that 18 hour fast today, I can't eat until 2:45 PM. I got in my run yesterday. 2.75 miles with extra walking. total steps 10,418. 65 active minutes. Sleep was not so great. I was up later again. It was later then I thought. I could have went to bed on time without any reading, but I did some reading anyhow. This put me into bed at 12:30 AM. So blah. I have been thinking about making some kind of reminder board or something to help remind me to keep on fighting for those goals when the will power gets weaker. Not sure exactly what I need for that. I am also still trying to decide what to do next for running. I feel more like I want to do the improve 5k program before doing the 5k to 10k program. It is a loner program then the 5-10k, but I feel it might be better to work on that first. Not sure haha

You are a true friend of the rebellion! Bringing in new recruits is the greatest gift you can give us (and your friend)
  11. Cheetah

Cheetah is tired, but that's no excuse.

Thanks, I will! I know, right? Hopefully this will be a habit I can remember to maintain for a while. I don't care what the IE people say; I'd like to see my trousers loosen up again. In other news, I seem to have been overly enthusiastic with pushups and now my shoulder is angry with me. I'm sure it just needs a day or two to cool off and get some perspective, and then it will realize that a few pushups more or less are no big deal, and while we could have communicated better about it, no real harm was done. Then we'll put the whole silly mess behind us. That's how that works, right?

  14. Welcome the rebellion! Toddlers are the best... >_> is she old enough to help? If you make a game out of it now, they become better at doing it on their own when they get older.* *This is my own experience with my own tiny monster.

Double entendre for a challenge theme? Lemme chew on that and get back to you. Also, Arabic? This is new, no?

Bean Si Vs. Chaos – Just Survive

Here and following! Really crossing my fingers that this new thing works out. And I totally understand the overachiever self-excoriation. It can be so brutal. It does sound like you're more balanced about it than you used to be (if that message you wrote on your old test is any indication) so try to remember that even if you're still stressed about grades, you do have more perspective than you used to, and it can continue to get better. I'm taking two classes in the evenings right now and I find it hard enough to find time for everything - and I don't even have kids! You're playing at a really high difficulty level and you're doing extremely well. I also agree with the people who said that you still being here and doing your boxes is a victory. Not every challenge goes as well as you want, but I think we can all agree that keeping your goals in mind, continuing to try, results in a better outcome than not trying at all. So you keep coming back because it does work. Whenever someone says something works, my first question is always..."works to do what?" and I think it's important to remember that the definition of "it works!" in this case isn't that all your problems suddenly disappear or healthy living becomes magically easy or any of that. The definition of "it works" is just that each day you do a little better for yourself than you would if you weren't thinking about it. That's a victory.
  18. Welcome to the rebellion. It's so nice to see mental health challenges, too many people forget that mental health is health too.
  19. It's wonderful to meet you Harriet! I've been on break from NF for a few minutes and I'm delighted to meet lovely people upon returning. Someday maybe you, me, and @Grumblewill collaborate and make a meme-based tarot deck, that can also be a CCG. Once we develop that rule set, we'll make sure you get to draw up the esoteric meaning for the tarot card, "The chain-smoking Australian."
