    Brogo: beats for brainz

my new one is here: Aside from shenaniganz, what I'm doing now has little to do with warrioring so I'm gonna hang out with the adventurers again.

    The Courtyard (Monk General Chat)

Oh no, as THE Encourager, you’re an honorary monk. Don’t try to sweep dust into one big pile, you’ll just make a mess, and use a small brush for the corners. Also, aren’t Rangers supposed to be happy to cross train?

High five for sharing a timezone! Monday here too, but I miss the weekend already. The new challenge looks like it's up and running, you've been busy!

    Lateral Planet Lives to Eat

Week 4 recap: Feels like a good week. I did some exercise and managed not to go completely overboard with snacking, win! 1) Intermittent fasting = 4/7 I was tempted by morning snacks on two days, and handicapped by a late dinner on one. But even on the days I didn't manage a 16-hour fast, I wasn't too far off! 2) Track all food = 7/7 Been keeping mindful about snacking and it's paying off, I think. 3) Exercise = 4/7 No half-measures this week, just lots of running and big, long walks. Result: No change! That's fine by me, and it's a net weight loss for the challenge overall. I certainly could be more strict about what I'm eating, but I feel good about the exercise I did this week. Maybe in the next challenge I'll crank it up a notch.

Juice Bar - Rebel Hang Out

I always forget to do this when I post the Juice Bar. Hi! I'm Wobbegong, one of the Rebel Guild Leaders. I'm mostly focused on habit/lifestyle building and diet, not on a particular workout style, so I stick with Rebel. Feel free to ask me any questions about the forums, any particular interactions, or even for advice if you want it. Something nerdy... I'm finishing up a transcription of a twelve-year-old game this challenge. It's an installment in a larger series of games that overlap and cover the same events in different ways, so it's helpful for the fandom to have the source material as a resource. For the past twelve years, we've been making do with a fan translation of the official Japanese script, which is... different. So I decided to do something about it! Here's my gif contribution. It has no relevance to the conversation:

Yeah maybe leave the kids at home for that one As much as I enjoy those movies, there were a couple of moments where I had to look away from the screen!

    Rinna gives up........something.

*shakes pompoms* you got it rinna! i feel you (no pun intended) on picking up other people's negative emotions! It can be so hard to tune out DX but you can do it! Best wishes for your low/no sugar questing!

    Salinger's twenty second challenge!

So do I. And of course it's okay. Why wouldn't it be? My goals rarely vary by much. I figure if/when I master them, then I'll find new ones. Or if there is something specific I want to focus on, then I'll add/adjust on the fly. I didn't achieve much this go round. Or last go round. Or the one before. See what I'm getting at? We get up, dust off our asses, and try again. We're Rangers. It's what we do. And don't discount walking. Why walking is the most underrated form of exercise or 4 Reasons Why Walking Is Real Exercise Walking is a great way to start. Especially if you haven't been doing much. So don't give up. Just keep trying.

  23. Hello, my name is Rinna, and I am a sugaraholic. I have a sugar addiction. I am going to *try* to give up sweets, and soda for this challenge. Last time I gave up sweets, I was on Atkins, and had a breakdown (imagine a 40-some-odd-old woman in tears on the kitchen floor) over it. So, lets see what happens this time. My goal is to avoid: cookies, cake, pie, candy, soda. Obvious bad food choices. I am including no calorie sodas. I am not including sugar free drinks like crystal light, or splenda in my coffee, fruits, or my coffee creamer (it has some sugar). Added to this: activity. I want to alternate yoga and NF BBW workouts with walking. I'm aiming for 4 days a week. 5 would be best, and bonus points if I get 5 in. Ideally I'd like this schedule: M: Yoga, walk T: BBW, walk W: Yoga, walk Th: BBW, walk F: Yoga, walk It should be easier, since school will be out this Friday. Which means I'll be done subbing in the kitchen at school until the fall. And lawdy, I need to be done. I've discovered that my sciatica/hip issues (which translates into knee pain) are caused by being on my feet all day (well, 4-5 hours a shift, almost constant movement). And it's been difficult working with psychobitch. For the most part she's been behaving, but often has an "aura" of ....... bitchy. And I, an empath, am hugely sensitive to other people's.........moods? So that's on me, but it's not like I can....not. So, for the next 4 days, I need to suck it up buttercup, cram in my buds, and ignore her to the best of my ability. I also want to return to IF. While I didn't see any big results, I also didn't stick with it for long. I want to see what happens when I put more effort into exercise along with the caloric deficit. The only off limit foods are the ones listed above. Maybe I should include frappe's and smoothie's from McDonald's. Okay, they're included. I will allow 1 cheat only. Our annual Ladies Tea is in 2 weeks. And I'm having scones. Toffee scones, to be exact. (I'm making them, and they're so yummy.) 20 points/week. Reward: Feeling better and being healthier. Bazinga.
