    Yassssss though I feel they ran out of references in some cases lol because they have some wizard of oz and random other things. BUT IM SO EXCITED. They have all the amazing looking waffles. Ohhh that sounds sooo fun. My family used to go camping a lot and then just kind of stopped. My brother still goes every once in awhile. My friends who like camping are either a) too busy and I never talk to them or b) too poor and have 4 kids and 3 of those will be under 3. I mean she doesn't have 4 kids yet lol but today is her due date. She is craycray. Boyfriend isn't too interested in camping. I think he would be okay with glamping.... he said he would be willing to try it for me as long as we can bring the kayaks lol and im like uggggh effort though. (they are super heavy) pewpew This is my new bow and arrows that I got to try horseback archery :O My other bow is a bit bigger.

    Hip exercises

    I'm in desperate need of some hip exercises. I sit at a desk all day in a horrid chair and my hips are killing me by early afternoon (right now). I'm working on getting a new chair to help since this has never been an issue until this chair came along. But in the meantime, what is something to help with the pain? Something that I could do every hour or so just to keep things not as painful.

    Seconded on the location. J'ai famille en Besançon. If I were in your shoes, I'd be doing both long runs and pace work on similar ground. If nothing else, be sure you're good to consistently jog over that time/distance. Build your long runs up. I'd think 2 1/2 months would be time enough to do it. Just beware that running 1-2 km at a time is a far cry from the whole 8.4 km at once, though those runs are quite useful if you run them for pacing and in intervals. My main event was the mile and even in my best shape I trained differently for the longer ones. I can tell you that getting too far past that brings a different level of blistering issues and calf exhaustion. I once ran a half-marathon over hills without additional training and while I finished and did well, my calf locked up when I was done.

    Nothing has gone as planned this week, so just trying to get my footing. I kind of went into survive mode in life. Terrible timing to try to change habits, but hoping I can pull it together. I haven't succeeded with any of my goals. Today is a new day though. I have done well today with eating, water, and stretching, but I didn't go to the gym. I did swim yesterday, so I am getting some exercise. Going to the pool again tomorrow.

    I like this: It's helping. The arm is also helping me go home early though. My grandpa is supposed to be out Friday-ish, if nothing changes. But he's going to have to live with my parents. He's no longer able to stay on his own & his doctor said that we are nearing the end. G-pa says that's, 95 is enough. After work today (I'm probably leaving early) I'm going to stay with Mom & Dad for the night. I'm off the next two days.

    I'm definitely not killing myself with my current amount of running, focusing instead on it being resourcing and enjoyable. My legs are feeling it, still, so I guess I'll give them some rest whenever I'm feeling like they need it. Consistency is indeed my current focus. I want to build healthy habits that'll help me have a life outside of work. The event challenge thing is mostly because I like one of those races and I know the worst I'm risking is walking up in something like a half-decent time so, no real shame there (I'd not be the only one walking my way to the top). I'll still give myself some time to decide whether or not registering is really a good idea. As for the races, the websites are in French : Ovronnaz - Cabane Rambert (8.4 km - 1350 m ascending elevation / 5.2 mi - 0.84 mi): https://www.ovronnaz-rambert.ch/ La grimpette des Bédjuis (6.3 km - 960 m ascending elevation / 3.9 mi - 0.60 mi): http://www.grimpette.ch/index.php Fully - Sorniot (7.95 km - 1600 m ascending elevation / 4.9 mi - 1.00 mi): https://www.fullysorniot.ch/fully-sorniot/ They state the time of the participants of the last year (link to the pdf), so that sets a good estimate of what time I should be able to complete them in in order not to be akwardly behind everybody. Looking at it, a 5h total looks like a decent mark for a first time. I'm thinking of trying the trails on hiking mode, one per weekend in the next weeks, just to get a feel of what they really are like, then decide on a training regimen to get me there and/or if training for it doesn't look enjoyable enough to carry me through Summer (in which case, I'll just run for fun without setting any real goal behind it). It's pretty mountainy around here, so I can train on both flat and incline trails without trouble. Normally I don't allow myself to watch anything because.. well, this happens. I have a far too addictive personality. I'll go catch up with everybody and then do a proper update.

    Yesterday I hung out with a parrot, got my hair colored, and benched 100lbs for sets! I'm SO EXCITED! I've not benched this much in 2.5 years, and I've never benched this much at this low of a body weight. My best ever bench was 120 for a single, and I'm desperate to overtake that number. I'm so exhausted and I have so much to do that meal prep has fallen to the side. I'm too stressed to sleep well, and too tired to function well. I'm thankful that my lifts are going as well as they are considering I'm fried. Goal 1: 83.67%/80% compliant. Goal 2: Chin-up and pull-up work 4x a week: 7/20 Goal 3: Lift 2X week. 9/10 Goal 4: Cardio 1x/week: 7/5

    Alrighty, time for another check in. Soda Monday - no Tuesday - yes, but only one glass at dinner Exercise Still no Meal Prep with veggies/fruit Made homemade chicken salad Monday night. Grilled chicken with celery and raisins and only enough mayo to keep it all together (1 tablespoon). I'm counting a serving as 2.5 cups, and without double checking my tracker, it's roughly 250 calories. So I got both veggies and fruit in this one! Small amount, yes, but small amount is better than nothing! I could really go for a bagel right now...
