Pull Ups Woot

Recommended Posts

Great job! That's no small feat - Pull-ups are one of the best indicators of upper body strength. Or so I've always been told. There is something I read recently that may help you go farther with pullups - I'm currently implementing it and it seems to be 'working out' - pun fully intended.

Basically whatever your max number of pullups are do HALF of them then rest for about 15 minutes. Do the same number again and basically just do this periodically throughout your workout day. Make sure you wait at least 15 minutes before doing another set (run or do situps or something that doesn't involve the pullup muscle group in the mean time.) Supposedly this will help increase your max number of pullups much faster. You can give it a shot or look into it more if you're curious. I'm a pragmatist by nature so I like to test crap out rather than playing armchair fitness guru.

I'm training to be (like) Batman physically, mentally, and financially.
