Emerald Eagle
It feels right to start this document now, and to have it here on the forums. My life is coming to a crossroads, I am looking for a new job, we are starting to make decisions about where were are going to live and when we're going to start a family. When it comes to making these decisions I want to have a goal in mind - they are not decisions to be made lightly, or in an adhoc fashion, but rather they should be decisions that are made intentionally for the best interests of myself and my family. PLEASE NOTE: This is a living, breathing, working document. There is no final finished product, only endless versions. I hope that I can continue to come back to this document - to keep it up to date and keep myself on the path, even if that path does deviate from the original plan. Emerald Eagle
LIFE GOALS In Level Up Your Life, Steve challenges us to think about our "Level 50" - what our ultimate end goal includes, how our life operates, how we feel. From there you can build a set of goals which work in some small way to achieving this ultimate aim. For me, this ultimate goal can be broken down into a few areas of my life. THE FOUNDATION To have a wonderful life you need a strong foundation. For me, that foundation is about my physical and mental health. Without these things I am not able to participate in the pillars of my life that are important to me to their fullest potential. HEALTHY My physical health and well-being. Caring for and honouring the body that I have been blessed with. Eating things that are good for me Lifting heavy things Being able to run / climb / swim / bike HAPPY My mental health. Ensuring that I am able to have a positive outlook and can deal with stress in a healthy way. Taking care of myself Remembering my mental health and wellness is important Making myself a priority THE PILLARS These are the things that are most important to me. They are the things that fill my life with wonder and joy. Ultimately, these are the things I want to invest my time and energy into every day. HOME This encompasses my marriage, my family (including those friends in my life who I consider family), as well as my physical home. I want to build strong relationships, be able to support my family, and reside in a place that is functional and full of love. Coming home to a place that I feel comfortable Investing in my relationship with my husband Starting a family of our own ADVENTURE In my limited time on this earth I want to leave no stone unturned. This means exploring new places both close to home and far away, trying things that scare and challenge me, and being open to saying yes to new things. Trying new things Exploring new places COMPASSION I want to make a difference in this world. Even if it is just one small drop in an ocean I want to make sure that when I walk on this earth my impact is positive. This can be in the way I respect the environment, fundraising or charity causes, or reaching out and supporting a friend in need. Making a positive difference in the world Being conscious of my impact on the environment Lifting others up Quote Feminist Ranger (she/her) Based in Melbourne, Australia Current Challenge: Emerald Eagle refills her cup (January 2021) Instagram: @emeraldeaglenf “I wish you would thrash him.
