New to Nerdfitness & loving it!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

I am a 5'3, VERY overweight (240 -230lbs) and seriously excited about this website. The husband says he has never seen me more motivated. I'm from Manchester, England and am fairly active. I walk 30min every morning and have recently started the beginner bodyweight training.

My motto is 'One step at a time'.

I want to lose fat, go into the healthy range from borderline (diabetes, hypertension, cholestrol), and SURVIVE in a Zombie Apocolypse! (or any other natural disaster; the movie 'The Impossible' really effected me).

I want to lose approx 70 - 80 lbs. However, i need to break down my goals because the big picture scares me, I want to change this into a lifestyle forever, not just to lose weight. Obviously I would like to look good, but ultimately its my fitness i want to improve.

SO, im taking it day to day, and not weighing myself. I will take pictures tomorrow with the help of Husband, and then take pictures again at the end of 4weeks. I will continue to take pictures (and measure inches) every 4 weeks. When my clothes no longer fit me, I will then weigh myself. I dont want to obsess over numbers.

Breakdown of Goals

1) Lose 70lbs

2) Lower Borderline risks

3) Get pregnant

Also, I have hypothyroidism, so this hinders me a little, but I refuse to let it stop me from achieving my goals!

Looking forward to EVERYTHING this site has to offer! :) Encouragement, advice, friends, etc.

Oh and i forgot to mention that I have started the Mordor Challenge, and my sister has joined me on it too :) BRILLIANT idea, really motivating!

Welcome to the forums, with so many new people joining everyday, some threads end up getting lost in the clutter. (which seemed to be the case with yours :( )

Anywho! Those are great goals and a great approach for your journey! ;) I hope you enjoy your time on NF, people here are great and very helpful!

If ever you need anything, let me know ^^

It's not 80% diet, 20% exercise, it's 100% diet, 100% exercise. Give it your all.
