4evermetal
Hello, I am new joining the site, but have been reading for awhile. I found it while researching the paleo diet. My sister began eating the paleo way and lost quite a bit of weight. Now when I visit her out of state, we only eat paleo. She even did paleo in Italy (can you imagine going to Italy and not eating pasta?). Anyway, I am hoping to find an accountability partner in my area. I do belong to a gym, but like last night, made another excuse not to go. Nice to meet ya! Link to comment

4evermetal
Ok, so I met up with an accountability partner who gave me some great advice on how to break my big goals into smaller, more attainable ones. Tonight, when I go to the gym, I am going to pick up more weight than I have in the past. My gym has a room for the power lifters so I may go in and look around in there. I increased my water intake today and even though my nutrition choices haven't been the best, I look forward to being able to do better planning in that area. Baby steps Link to comment

4evermetal
Thank you. Last night in class, we did two sets of 10 exercises. I used much heavier hand weights and a heavier weighted bar. I wasn't able to get through all of the overhead presses with the heavier weights but that will be a goal that I can work on. There were too many people in the heavy lifting room so I'll check it out next time. A lot of inspiring and motivating stories on this site. I am so grateful I found it. Link to comment
4evermetal
Well, I have been challenged to do the 21 day sugar detox which I decided to begin on the 1st. The second day I did not feel well, but today is day 4 and I am doing fine. I have a couple of hard workouts coming up this week so I hope I'll continue to feel strong. Link to comment
4evermetal
Wow. There is sugar in about everything I was eating. I've lost 8 pounds in 13 days by eliminating sugar. My body feels better (not as sore) and there are bursts of energy every once in awhile. Looking forward to the 22nd Link to comment

alvin545
Once you've been off sugar for a while, you will notice that foods you once enjoyed are now too sweet and you won't crave them anymore. Gets so much easier! Link to comment
4evermetal
I hope so! I am trying to find some good low sugar recipes that I can continue once the 21 days are over. This is a positive experience. Hopefully some of my co workers will try it since they complain of being tired and sore all the time. Link to comment
