I am a big dork and a die hard Whedonite, so I have set up my fitness routine as a Buffy themed game. Each level relates to a season in the show and each work out is an individual episode. I have been having fun erasing each workout and replacing it with a quote from the episode that relates to succeeding.

Goals: I want to lose 40 lbs, become stronger and improve my eating habits. Each season that I go through, the daily tasks will get harder and as I learn more about fitness I will be able to make the daily workouts more customized to that day's episode. With each level up I will award myself prizes. I am writing out a bunch of things I want and putting them in a bowl Every time I level up I will get to pull a reward from my reward bowl. 

 

Level 1: 

  • We stopped the master from freeing himself and opening the mouth of Hell. Doesn't mean he'll stop trying. I'd say the fun is just beginning. 
  • Wherever she is, I don't think we'll have to worry. 
  • I know you can excel... I expect nothing less. 
  • We feel our way as we go... you're doing pretty well. 
  • Right! That's enough training for one day! Run along, while I wait for the feeling to return to my arms. 
  • Sometimes a little is enough. 
  • It's just unprecedented. 
  • Try not to let other things get in the way. 
  • If there's something bad out there, we'll find it, you'll slay, we'll party.  
  • ​It's all part of the glamorous world of vampire slayage.  
  • He's not going anywhere. Loser. LEVEL 1 COMPLETE

Completion Reward: New Shower Curtain (yes my dreams are small, lol) + New Sheets

    sledgehammer, but, gosh, we did that.

  • The Dark Age- I'm aerobicising; I must have a beat!
  • What’s My Line Part 1- I'm in full see-no-evil mode. 
  • What's My Line Part 2- Don't worry dear heart. I'll see that you get strong again, like me. 
  • TedWell Teddy, this house is mine.
  • Bad Eggs-And I slayed. My work here is done. 
  • Surprise-There is no instead. Just first and second. 
  • InnocenceThat was then. This is now. 
  • Innocence Cont. -I'll just let it burn.

5-31-14 Warm up + Bodyweight Brigade Level 1 Workout A + 12,000 steps logged on FitBit  Energy was much higher today than yesterday.

6-2-14: 31,011 Steps. Most I have ever gotten in one day. I also hit 460 lifetime miles today and that means I have made it to Rivendell! Onward to Lothlorien!!!

6-5-14 12,000 Steps, Workout A and warm up. Being able to work out earlier in the day today made the workout a little easier, as I wasn't already sleepy.

6-6-14 16,122 Steps. 

 

 

I need to get more steps, earlier in the day. I get less steps during the day when I am home than when I am at work. I need to be as conscious of my steps at home as I was the last few months of work.

  • Go Fish- I was in the line for shred of sanity. 
  • Becoming, Part 1- Bottom line is, even if you see 'em coming, you're not ready for the big moments. No one asks for their life to change, not really. But it does. So what are we, helpless? Puppets? No. The big moments are gonna come, you can't help that. It's what you do afterwards that counts. That's when you find out who you are.
