gloo
Hey guys! came across the website not too long ago while looking for ways to improve my eating habits. over the course of the year I've really tried change my eating habits and experimenting with different ideas. My story! Tore my hip flexor almost two years ago and had a lot of trouble recovering from it. I was "out" till January of this year and was only able to go 100% since march. It took me from overweight to pretty freakin big. it was during the time of being injured I realized: hell, I love being active and if i continue on the same path, my body won't let me be who I like to be. Time for change. Since then I've gone from 44% body fat down to about 24% with a couple of 10ks and whatnot under my belt. But I found that as I got into better shape and started eating better, my body fat % would not drop nearly as quickly as it had when I first changed. So I'm on this continual quest to maximize things. My goal has been 2% body fat per month but I've been struggling to hit that the last couple of months. I'm excited to test out the paleo eating style. it seems to make pretty good sense. but so does a lot of boneheaded things I've done lol. I've already basically weeded out dary so that's no big deal. I use costco (kirkland?) brands vitamin water mixed with chia seeds as my mid day snack on campus. Guess i'll have to dump that and man i've never realized how grain heavy my eating habits are evein if they are whole grain. dumping them is going to be pretty hard. Any tips for a piss poor full time working college student? Quote Link to comment

The Purple Diane
Welcome! It's great to have you here. Have a look through the forums, I think there are at least two "help, I'm a college student and I'm broke" threads already going. It can definitely be done. Good luck, and be sure to let us know how you do! Quote Link to comment
