leatherleaf
I've been following the NF blog posts for a while and decided it was time to join in! I'm 34, 5'4" and a total geek (glasses, Dr Who encyclopedia and all!). About a year ago my weight started creeping dangerously close to 200lb. This really freaked me out. I've been tracking EVERYTHING I eat on the Daily Plate, I do Zumba three times a week, a cardio/power sculpt class once a week and since January I have lost 20 pounds! Yea me! Unfortunately, I still have a ways to go - goal weight: 150. I love that last winter's clothes are too big, but their replacements could still be much smaller! My husband and I are also trying to start a family, so getting myself in shape is not just for me, but for our future kids. My parents set one hell of a terrible example for me; I WILL NOT do that for my kids. I just signed up for the 2012 Beach Challenge. Last summer I saw a totally beautiful woman in a little bikini with a big, round pregnant belly. That's my ideal for next summer! smurray
Welcome to the forum and way to go on your progress so far. I understand the desire to be a good example for your future children in the health and fitness category. You got plenty of friends here that are trying to do the same thing. I hope to hear more from you on the boards.
