bigm141414
So I must share, because I finished this by the end of the year. But today I dead lifted 275lbs 5 times. Why is this significant? Because when I started tracking my weight loss I weighed 267.5lbs. Which means I can offically pick Fat BigM of 2 years ago off the ground. Booya. Not bad considering I started dead lifting in July and I couldn't even pick the bar off the ground.Take that lazy Self of two years ago. Sloth the Enduring
Congratulations BigM - I visualized that bar and I can't imagine getting it off the ground.. I just got here, so I don't know your story. How did you go from zero to hero in such a short time? Esp., what was your beginning progression when you couldn't lift the bar? bigm141414
Congratulations BigM - I visualized that bar and I can't imagine getting it off the ground.. I just got here, so I don't know your story. How did you go from zero to hero in such a short time? Esp., what was your beginning progression when you couldn't lift the bar?Spent about a month or so in June learning proper form with a video camera and a broom stick. I guess I could always lift the bar but was scared to try since I didn't want to look foolish. I got over that pretty quick once I started lifting and I remember my first real road block was at 185lbs. I remember stars in my eyes the first time I tried to lift it. As for how I got here, a linear progression adding 10 pounds a day with roughly 2-3 days worth of dead lifts. Slow and steady wins the race. I still have far to go as I want to be able to put up decent numbers for the DL leader board in 2012 Quote "Pull the bar like you're ripping the head off a god-damned lion" - Donny Shankle Link to comment
