Not going to try a challenge again until after the big day. Enough pressure/stress planning a wedding. So instead just going to be tracking my workouts here.

Ah I understand! Not that I have a wedding to plan (luckily, I mean I can only imagine the stress that entails!) but for me the challenges are also a bit too stressful at the moment. I am liking the battle log, because it is motivating to write about what you achieved and all the people here are very nice! :)

Awesome that you deadlifted your bodyweight! Go you!

Good on you for doing some runs! And yes, getting out there is amazing, you did it! Look at all those squats you did! I mean, this week has been really bad for me. Basically did nothing. My fitbit step count confirmed that too. I was a plant, basically. So I think you did great!

Thanks, has been a real challenge getting back into things. Today was my day off and my only plans were to work out & cook dinner. I was in work out clothes by 8:30 but couldn't convince myself to actually start my workout until 2. I didn't even find good reasons to put it off. But I made it out to the garagym, so i guess it stil counts as a win. Going to try a starting strength variation this time around, so today involved finding my starting weights.

Warm-Up

-----------

10 min walk w/ Dogs

Workout

----------

Squats

5x45lbs

5x55lbs

5x65lbs

5x75lbs

5x75lbs

5x75lbs

Was expecting this to be where I landed after a month of pretty much no exercise what so ever.

Bench Press

5x45lbs

5x55lbs

5x65lbs

5x65lbs

5x65lbs

This I was not expecting, I'm not sure if I should be impressed with my bench or disappointed with my squat with only a 10lb difference.

Chin Ups

6 w/ medium resistance band on my foot

5 w/ medium resistance band on my foot

5 w/ medium resistance band on my foot

So chin ups are 3 set until failure, once I can get 15 on all 3 sets I'm either going to get a light resistance band or just put my knee in the band instead, same will go for pull ups.

Stretching

--------------

Yes I actually stretched after my workout today!!! I downloaded what I think is an awesome app, that takes you through 9 stretches. Was quick and easy to follow so Hoping it's something I can continue to incorporate at least 2-3x a week.

I've fit in a couple of runs and didn't the beginner body weight work out today. I may have to giver up weight training for a while/indefinitely. My back/shoulder has been protesting pretty loudly and I think the increased weight on my shoulder while doing squats is aggravation my scoliosis. Because that's where it hurts, and sooooo much worse than the usual nagging pain. When the next challenge starts thinking about doing a round with the assasins and focusing on body weight/ body weight progressions. In the meantime just going to try to keep doing something so I don't get out of the habit.

It's been a while since I logged anything and I'm doing a "thank goodness the holidays are all over" reboot. This past weekend has been the first event free weekend since probably Thanksgiving, so I feel safe in trying to get back in a routine diet & exercise wise.

Weighed in last night at 128lbs, which isn't terrible but not ideal either. I also snapped some photos which will stay safely hidden on a deep dark folder on my computer.

I managed to talk myself into 2 rounds of the Beginner Body Weight work out last night, I just have no energy at the end of my day once I get home from work. I want to just sit on the couch and chill.

This morning I got a run in.

5 min Run, 3 min Walk, 5 min run, 3 min walk, 5 min run, 1 min walk(I had to end on 30 minutes.. ) and made it 2.36 miles, which according to Garmin Connect is the farthest I've run since November.

The hubby and I also did some meal prep last Sunday with freezer crock-pot meals, we've had 1 so far and it was delicious, they're all healthy & minimally processed so pretty excited to continue doing this since we both work away from home.

That's my update for now, looking forward for the next challenge to start so I can jump back on the bandwagon!
