Doodlie PVP 2.0 14 September - 25 October

Here Team Pancake and Team Waffle will strive for the honor of doodlies.

Each team will create a secret google document to communicate with each other about how to beat the other Team.

Scores will remain a secret till the end of the mini challenge unless stated otherwise.

 

These are the 6 mini's:

1) Drink water, tea or coffee (with no sugar, milk, sweeteners or any other funny stuff). Count the ml/ounces of other drinks you have (this includes diet soda, smoothies and juices!). The team with the least ml/ounces wins.

2) Strength workout, start post

3) Sleeping. Count the minutes you lie on your bed/couch with you eyes closed. It only counts if this leads to actual sleeping. Savasana and meditating don't count   ;)

4) Eat your freggies. Count the freggie portions. A portion exists of 1 veg and is at least 80 grams. An other veg with the same meal of at least 80 grams will be a second portion. 160 grams of the same veg is still one portion.

5) Mindfulness challengePick one of these goals. Each day you the thing you chose you'll get one point.

    1. commit to one week of meditation, just to see how it affects you

    2. mindful eating- really making sure you only focus on what you are eating, no distractions, just you an your food, taking the time to notice tastes and textures and seeing 

       how this affects your eating habits

    3. mindful observation- look at a plant or an organism (bug/bird/whatever) and really notice it as though for the first time, see how this brings you into the present. For the 

       challenge maybe one moment per day?

    4. Listen to music mindfully- close your eyes, put on headphones and play a new piece of music, emptying your mind, and getting swept up in the sound

    5. Game of fives- notice five things in your day that usually go unappreciated. Then report back here

6) Cardio minutes. Count the number of minutes you do cardio workouts (walking, running, dancing, biking, elliptical, etc.)

 

For the strength mini we'll need a deck of cards. Here is a virtual one.

We're going to need new challenges.

 

@jcsimmons: Can you create a new BW circuit for us?

- A cardio challenge, we're counting the number of minutes we did cardio exercises (walking, running, swimming, biking, dancing, riding a yak etc.)

- Each member will create/find a recipe and give that to a team member of the opposite team. That member has to make it and eat it (or at least taste it). Every recipe made is 1 point.

- Drink just water/tea/black coffee. Everything else will give you a point, the team with the least points wins.

 

I'm sure you all will have a ton of ideas, so please share!

I like them all but I am not sure about the second one for the cooking challenge because sometimes my eating rules are going to be quite strict. 

If it's not siesta or fiesta, I'm not interested.

That was my problem with that one too. We can work around that by giving your dietary restrictions before hand. But if you know an other food related challenge, please share :)

I agree with Deftona on the cooking one - although it does also sound intriguing. But yeah, I'm planning to keep my food intake as strict as possible this challenge. The Suit awaits.

 

Definitely down with the water/coffee one. My diet coke intake has been creeping up again.

That was my problem with that one too. We can work around that by giving your dietary restrictions before hand. But if you know an other food related challenge, please share :)

 

We could have a 'vegetable of the week?' (I don't know why but I laughed at that sentence for such a long time). You have to use that vegetable in as many recipes as you can face in a week?

 

Or just do what we did last night.

If it's not siesta or fiesta, I'm not interested.

I'm down for another cardio and water competition. My water intake dropped by at least half following the last challenge i want to try and get back up to 2 gallons a day again. I was shedding the weight and felt great during that time.If we do another food based one I would prefer it to be a similar style as to the last one.

I'm laughing so hard now

 

Me too. I also kinda want to know what you did last night!

 

For the circuit I want to do this time around I has a question for everyone first. Does everyone own a deck of cards? Just a normal 52 card playing deck such as that which is used for poker and other gambling habits. (preferably with the jokers still)

 

I do. And if you're thinking what I think you're thinking, I'm sneakily removing all the high numbers...

 

 

'vegetable of the week?'

I have a deck of cards JC. I also found loads of sets of Top Trumps I didn't know I had if anyone wants a game.

Well it certainly doesn't involve the vegetable of the week, that's for sure...

I was thinking about that veggie thing too. It's just that I don't want to eat the same vegetable every day (couldn't sell that to the minions or my husband). Maybe count the grams of veg we eat? Or the number of meals we use a vegetable in?

Yes! We had two of the WWE ones and I also had some marvel superhero ones too. But Buffy?! Wanna be besties?

I was thinking about that veggie thing too. It's just that I don't want to eat the same vegetable every day (couldn't sell that to the minions or my husband). Maybe count the grams of veg we eat? 

 

We could do portions of freggies (80g or more of the same fruit/veg not including juices?) in a day? I would totally be up for that. 

 

As for the sleeping - anything encouraging me to nap more is more than welcome to take a comfortable seat in my life.

I didn't know they had these. Of course every thing is on the internet. I did find a small flaw with the one you linked it repeats cards... I did find this though which just doesn't have the jokers which can be added whenever.

A whole week where I can tell my family I need to sleep for a competition?!  I am so in for that one.  

 

As for veggies - we could incorporate different color veggies too.  I had a challenge awhile back where I had to get at least 1 serving from each color group during the week.  It helps increase the variety.
