Frost of the Gloaming
They say coloring for 15minutes is the same as Meditating for 15 minutes, and I honestly feel the same after coloring as I do meditating 1 Quote Between a rock and a hard place, use our finger nails to climb, it's all we know.......... Frost of the Gloaming
Carl Jung used to have patients color Mandala's as a form of stress relief and to focus. And with Art Therapy being widely used in all sort of therapy settings it's not really as bullshit as you think. Seriously I challenge you to either color or draw something for 15 minutes, and just focus on what you are doing and see how you feel. 1 Quote Between a rock and a hard place, use our finger nails to climb, it's all we know.......... RMDC
To be fair, I got a lot out of Zentangle as a practice, and art in general - from coloring to paper modeling - has the same time-dilating, brain-clearing effect that meditation had when I practiced it semi-regularly. 1 Quote RMDC | Chaser Druid 2STR 2 | DEX 1 | STA 3 | CON 3 | WIS 3 | CHA 2NF Character Profile: RMDCChallenge: Current - PKMN Journey, Part 1Previous: 1Write 6 pages per week 24%24% Water only 40%40% Wheat products restricted to 3/wk (this week's slots: {*} - {*} - { } ) 27%27% Daily meditation 36%36% Interval walking, four total hours 36%36% Link to comment
Raincloak
I think coloring is relaxing, in the same way as knitting. Slow repetitive movements that engage hand and eye coordination are meditative. They've given coloring books to Alzheimer patients fir years, about time other people caught on. Though I'd still rather go for a walk. Quote Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future. Hylian Assassin 5'5", 143 lbs. Half-marathon: 3:02It is pitch dark.
