Cataleya
I had some really crappy dumbbells that were concrete covered in plastic. The plastic cracked, concrete fell out every time I used them, etc. So I replaced them with some adjustable dumbbells, which arrived on Monday. Today I worked up the courage to do some arm exercises. I'm starting out super light (10lbs) but I managed to get through despite feeling kind of weak. Dumbbell Bicep Curl: 2 sets of 10 reps per armStanding Overhead Barbell Triceps Extension: 2 sets of 10 repsTricep Dumbbell Kickback: 1 set of 10 reps per arm (got a charlie horse in my right arm, so maybe my form is off)Hammer Dumbbell Curl: 2 sets of 10 reps using both arms So yeah. Woo hoo for a decent first day! Fitocracy profile Quote Cataleya Tries to Regain Her Balance Instagram | MyFitnessPal Link to comment
Slayer
Yay! Everybody starts somewhere--10 lb would be a lot for me! Just keep swimming! Quote Slayer Druid "Welcome to the Hellmouth." Three Two Seven
Great job! Those concrete weights bring back lots of memories. I used to have a set too. I remember doing dumbbell flyes with concrete dust landing in my face during each rep. Ah...good times! Keep up the good work! 1 Quote Three Two Seven Irving, TX Link to comment
