First week's quests to conquer (22nd-28th May)

Ok so I'm now using the pre-made quests on NerdFitness as a way of building daily habits and motivation for my main goals. 

 

Daily challenges for this week(22nd - 28th May 2017): 

  • 5 minute dance party
  • commit to a new daily habit: back stretches
  • chin ups - as many as you can 

(Chin ups at this point are not full chin ups as the bar I am using is about 30cm above my head and therefore don't count unless my chin is above the bar without needing to swing up. I plan to do this for two weeks and then try full chin ups.) 

  • Drinking at least 750ml of water a day for a week (not tea)

 

Main Goals for end of August:

  • weekly habit of recommended exercise (150 hours moderate exercise, 2 sessions of strength/flexability per week)
  • reach an average weight of 9st4lb
  • go to a minimum of two social events per month

 

Monday 22nd May: 

All completed, 3 chin ups, 1000ml of water, weight 9st10lb

 

Tuesday 23rd May:

All completed, 20 minutes of dancing with Just Dance - who knew that game would actually come in useful :eagerness:

Managed 2 chin ups, 1000 ml of water, weight 9st8.5lb. 

I had a lot of healthy food today but I also had lots of biscuits so hopefully it'll balance out and won't have ruined today. 

 

Wednesday 24th May: 

All goals completed today :) 3 chin ups, 2,250 ml water, weight 9st9.5lb. 

I had a shameful number of biscuits today but I was very active in a hot theatre today. Thankfully they are now all gone so no biscuits for tomorrow :encouragement:

 

Thursday 25th May:

All completed, 2 pull ups, 1500ml water, weight 9st9.5lb. 

Last day of my show so went out for a few drinks after, got back at 1am so didn't plan properly for the next day.

 

Friday 26th May:

All completed, 2 pull ups, 1500ml water, weight 9st9lb. 

Didn't do tasks in the morning as I lay in, found it more difficult to get the motivation to do the tasks in the evening but still managed it.

 

Saturday 27th May:

Took a long time to do morning routine today but still got them all of these tasks done. 

40 minutes of Just Dance while I was waiting for my washing to finish, 2 pull ups, 1250 ml water, weight of 9st9lb. 

 

Sunday 28th May:

All completed, 2 pull ups, 1250ml water, weight 9st9lb 

 

Summary of week:

  • Exercise: 1 hour 35 minutes for the week, but did exercise at least 5 minutes everyday. 
  • 96,508 steps this week, reached 10,000 steps everyday. Minimum of 10,271 maximum of 17,574. 
  • Water consumption over the week: 9,750 ml. Daily average: 1,390 ml
  • Range of motion has increased. I can now turn further to each side before it starts to hurt. 
  • Weight stayed pretty much the same, this I expected but hoping as I increase my daily exercise, my weight will go down. 
  • Pretty good first week, looking forward to turning up the challenge bit by bit to reach my main goals.
