scarletleavy
So I've never used Ebay before, but I'm in the market for some cool things for my apartment and a friend recommended I check it out, plus I've heard about all sorts of people finding interesting items there. Anyway, I found all sorts of awesome vintage 1970s chairs and I'm really thinking about getting at least one, but I'm a little bit nervous I guess? Any words of advice for an Ebay noob? HorrorGeek
Know what things are worth. Sometimes you can get amazing deals (slightly used Prada shoes for $80!!!) and sometimes they will jack up the prices to ridiculous levels (like when Wii's were hard to find and they were going on eBay for twice the price). Always read a person's feedback before purchasing. Try to stay within your own country if possible - less risk of fake crap. There is a lot of mass produced fake sweatshop stuff from China on there. CapN_Tommy_Sunshine
Search the completed auctions for similar items. That will give you an idea of what a typical price for those things would be. Link to comment
