when i set up for a heavy deadlift i always think this if i know it's gonna get a bit tricky 'GRIP! (grip the bar like hell) LATS! (tense up my lats and core) *then a big breath* RAAAAAARRGGGH!!!!'

also when i'm training with someone else (if it's not too heavy a weight) i do something similar to andygates but in the style of 'Never Back Down' when jake's at the tennis match and shouts 'You got this!' (in the accent)
