PlainSimpleGarak
So I need to respawn. I'm frustrated. I'm tired. I have been struggling with my diet since I fist joined in 2014. For a while I did great - I was down to my ideal weight, taking tae-kwon-do, looking great and feeling great. I got a new job, life was good. Now? New job has a new CEO. Salaries are down. Money is tight. Overtime is mandatory. I've gained 30 lbs. I still run 2-3 times a week. I still cook most of my own food. I train hard to beat my 5K time and yet I don't get any faster, I'm not losing weight and I'm upset. I ran a timed 5K on Saturday and came in dead last. I felt humiliated. I've been doing this for 3 years straight and I can't see any progress. I need something. Some sort of change to get things back on track and I'm fumbling. RavenTree
I hear you. I don't have any answers for you, but I know the "splinter in your mind" feeling of being stuck and not knowing how to get un-stuck. FWIW, I've never run a 5k. I envy you that. Quote I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain. ~ Frank Herbert, Dune Link to comment
Sloth the Enduring
I don’t have any answers either. You’re in a hard spot; I’ve been dead last too. It’s obvious you need a change. What were you doing differently when things were going well?
