Jaimer
I have been exercising off an on since I have started having asthma problems and knee pain. I got back on the horse of regular exercise so that I could complete a life guarding class last year for Health & Fitness credit. I recently realised that while my BMI is in the healthy range that says nothing about my level of fitness. I have some muscle tone in my arms from playing Odaiko drums, but otherwise I'm pretty flabby, skinny, but flabby. In my quest to find general fitness information, so that I'd have a starting point for getting fitter,*I stumbled across Nerd Fitness.*My building block goals (somewhere to start from):-to actually be able to complete a pull-up, actually make it 5 pull-ups- to be able to complete 20 REAL push-ups, no more modified knee push-ups.- to be able to stay in plank for 30 seconds. (ditto for side plank on each side)- to be able to complete 40 sit-ups in 1 minute- to score a 5 on the beep test- to bike the entire Minuteman Trailway in Massachusetts*- to rollerblade the entire same Trailway- to be able to do a split*- to swim 500 yards in under 10 minutes {I actually want to be able to use my lifeguard certification and get a job } Link to comment
