Background-er I struggle to get in enough healthy calories in a day to keep up with the physical-demands of my job. So I end up hungry at work, eating junk food snacks on the drive home, eating a light dinner and waking up hungry in the middle of the night if I don't have a snack before bed. It's nutritional chaos even though my basic calorie counts are enough. My goal right now is working on eating more protien and shifting eating to match when I need the fuel. So bedtime snack I was psyc'd for a homemade decaf chai tea (milk and skim milk powder to double the protien, no sugar, jusy delicious spices). Then no decaf tea in the house! Necessity is the mother of invention: Sub. Straight no sugar added cocoa powder and a frozen strawberry for the tea and spices. I am relaxing sipping an incredibly decadent hot cocoa (est. 18g protien) and I hit my protien target for the day! 1 Quote Link to comment
