Kindness Woot!

Recommended Posts

Getting off the Red Line today, I'm walking down the stairs and an older woman is struggling to get her suitcase up the stairs. After a dozen or so people barrel past her on her way down, I met her eyes, smiled and asked if she could use any help with her suitcase. Her face just melted and I carried it the rest of the way up the stairs. I could just tell I made her day.

Being nice is awesome and rewarding.

That's awesome. People get so caught up in running through life they forget to do the kind things. And it always makes us feel better when we do it. You'd think we'd do it more often. Happy for you :smug:

This is amazing. Too many people in life don't take the time to help others. I'm so glad you did! Thanks for sharing, you've inspired me to go out of my way to be kind this week.

Thats wonderful of you!! My fiance takes the blue line to/from work and I hope he would be as kind as you and help someone if they needed it! I'm going to tell him about your kindess when he gets home :)

Great job! I'm glad there are people like you in the world!

Beautiful.

"Not having to struggle on the stairs" probably meant less to the woman than "knowing there are still good people in the world."

Both make it a better place.

Thank you.

This used to be where  my weight loss progress bar was. Maybe it will be here again when I'm ready to face the scale and work on my fat problem.

I had someone do this for me once - carrying a suitcase up and down metro station stairs. It truly is awesome! I still tell people about the lovely lady that helped me carry my bags. Maybe your older lady will tell her friends about you, too :)

I'll bet you did make her day.
