Bob-gar
About a week ago, while warming up with a jog on a treadmill, I felt a slight pop in my left calf. It didn't hurt or anything but definitely didn't feel normal. I immediately stopped and stretched a bit and then tried to jog again, but something just felt funny. It doesn't hurt to really do anything except when I'm pushing off on the forefoot. Running upstairs is mostly the issue. Did some light googling and this seems to be a basic muscle strain. I've stopped wearing the vibrams for a bit. I was wearing them when the incident first happened. However, I'm not convinced these were the cause directly. I think its more of an issue of actively jogging and walking more on my forefoot than normal. (Typically a midfoot runner/heel-toe walker). All that aside and moving forward, my calf isn't 100%. It doesn't hurt or isn't sore or anything, but feels kinda weak and seems to fatigue easy. I'm sure this is part of the healing process for the muscles. I'm still taking it easy on them and stretching when I can. However, I'm not sure if I should be doing leg workouts or not (squats, lunges, etc...). Other than resting and not running on my forefoot too much, are there other things I shouldn't be doing? cline
Yeah strained mine (or something) about a month ago doing weighted single leg calf raises. Have kept pushing (including jogging and sprinting). Am not getting better. My worst pains stairs. Have decided I can no longer cowboy up and I'm off to my sports med dr tomorrow. Which means, go to doc. If I'm going to doc, it's ot a good sign. I AM going the distance 'Cause all I wanna do is go the distance. Nobody's ever gone the distance with Creed, and if I can go that distance, you see, and that bell rings and I'm still standin', I'm gonna know for the first time in my life, see, that I weren't just another bum from the neighborhood.
