thescrawnycaveman
So now that I am a certified personal trainer I want to start working independently (because basically every gym requires experience before they will hire). I have virtually no idea how to start this up. Anyone got some ideas? Any business gurus out there willing to share some tips? Link to comment
CowboyMisterIndependent
Check around with some friends/family and see if any of them want to give it a go. You could try advertising in a local paper or online on some sort of local site. If you're IN in Chicago, I'm sure there are a ton of people around that wouldn't mind being personally trained, and might even have some coin to throw at you for it.Just some minor thoughts from a sort-of-business-minded punk kid across the pond in Michigan. But more importantly, congrats on getting certified, and best of luck to you in your business-building journey! thescrawnycaveman
Thanks Cowboy, right now I've gotten a couple family and friends willing to be my guinea pigs. I like your idea to advertise online (Don't have money for a newspaper ad). I'm thinking I'll do free workouts on Meetup.com and everyblock.com. Who knows how many nibbles I might get, but I'm crossing my fingers for sure! Link to comment
