"I've got a plan, ACTION."

Morning all Rebels,

I'm coming out! I've been lurking around the NF site for a couple of weeks. Registered about 4 days ago. Today I make my presence known. I was in stall this am on my way to my garage gym for my 3rd NF rookie wkout, reading the latest recruit messages. Shout out to Krystie, shutupndance, and Brit3r. I realized maybe any post I offered would help some NF rookie, ( or long-standing rebel ) get off the computer and ACT!

My story. I am a runner, former triathlete. I still do tri, just not on the level of my past. I was on my way to my first Ironman after 2 years of focused training when I injured my sweet self doing some track work...I was six weeks from my race.:(. My 27 hours a week of training turned into ZERO! I could not run, bike or push off the wall to swim...of course now I realize there were other ways to keep strong, but I didn't and ended up falling into a deep depression. That was 2003. LIFE took over and I have never reached for that level of fitness again. Plenty of good excuses for that.

Fast forward. I go through periods of increasing my running or speed, but my old fitness level and motivation is elusive. I will register for a tri with some friends, thinking it will get my juices going, but I don't follow through with training, AND still go out and race. I am able to finish, even beat my younger friends because of muscle memory I'm sure. This pattern keeps me form really committing to my fitness, and improving my strength. I stumbled upon this site while reading about Paelo. I am not a Social Network person. I have never participated in a websites forum nor am I a blog reader. So, this is all new.

My goals. To change the shape of my body through strength training. Strong Body, Strong Mind.

To the Rebellion,

Lisa B.

Welcome! Even if you can't regain your 9 years ago level of fitness, in the short time I've been here, I've found this to be a great place to get support in becoming the best YOU that you can be.

So inyourjeans what are you up to? I remember Bikram yoga did my brain some good. It's an awesome workout. I think Bikram once a week will be on my Challenge. Being a runner, becoming a strength trainer, such a different animal! Best to you!
