Ankle injuries

I am currently recovering from a pretty nasty ankle sprain. I feel comfortable walking on it but not enough to do much more. Any suggestions on some workouts to help with the injury? Or should I just rest it and stick with upper body?

On a side note, I am new to the site but all the articles and the forum posts are very inspiring. Keep it up!

One thing that helped me recover after a bad sprain once was doing slow squats while holding onto a support to move the joint gently and rebuild range of motion without putting too much weight on it.
