Roocifer Posted May 18, 2012 Report Share Posted May 18, 2012 I wasn't hopeful at the beginning of this race - my Garmin died 10 minutes before the start, so I had absolutely no clue what my pace was. I came around the last turn and one of the volunteers was standing there shouting out times - the clock was at 23 minutes and change! I gunned it and finished with a time of 24:18 - a full 50 seconds faster than my previous pr!!!I haven't raced in over a year and my goal was to break 26 minutes. I can't believe I was able to PR, and now I'm so very, very happy. I'm running a bunch of 5ks over the course of the summer, so now I have a new time to beat!
