Gaming: A gate-way addiction

Okay, we've all heard the gaming hate, but this particularily shocked me because it's a 3 hour (!!) course offered at a college in my city. Madness! I kinda want to take it just to argue. If we gamers don't stand up for ourselves, next thing you know we'll be mocked, and dismissed, and accused of having a mental illness... wait....

Seems like a pretty weak jump to make a connection between video games to losing your shirt at the casino, but video game addiction itself is very real, particularly in the world of MMORPGs.
