Zombocalypse HIIT training

So as we all know, the inevitable Zombie Apocalypse (Zombocalypse ) is drawing nearer every day.

Between fortifying the house, procuring supplies and weapons training, it can be very difficult to find time to exercise.

One of the best ways to work around all these constraints and get ripped in time for the first wave is High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). Specifically, the Tabata method, which requires a measly 4 minutes a day (plus warm up/cool down).

The method is simple. Pick an exercise, for example pushups, and do as many as you can in 20s. Push yourself as hard has possible. Then take a 10s break. Repeat for a total of 8 sets and you're done!

You can customise your own routine but here's one I'm working in right now:

Mon: Pushups

Tues: Rest

Weds: Squats

Thurs: Rest

Fri: Pull ups

Sat: ~5k run

Sun: Rest

I'll throw in an extra run here and there as I feel like it, because I'm awesome and I can.

You can do tabata with pretty much any exercise, so get creative.

If you really want a tough workout, try it with sprints (thanks, Bruce).
