Older is better...Right?

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody:

So I joined some time ago but never followed through. I think now is the time.

I am a middle aged guy who discovered Taikwondo about 4 1/2 years ago. when I started I weighed in at 350lbs, couldn't do a push-up, and could barely go up a set of stairs. I have made some great progress during that time. My weight is down to 272lbs, I can do 36 push ups in one minute and 50 sit ups in one minute. I have achieved a black belt in TKD, and put on a lot of muscle. However I have really slacked off in the last 4 months and I know I still have a long way to go. besides just improving my overall level of fitness, I need to lose another 60-70 pounds and eventually be able to do my two mile run in 21:30.

tonight I am going to try out a school where I am hoping to begin my training in Aikido. Wish me luck.

I am also on Fitocracy, and Myfitnesspal if you want to Join me there.

... Kicking ass!

Welcome!

I'm in the best shape of my life at 44. Awesomeness will be yours.

I AM going the distance

'Cause all I wanna do is go the distance. Nobody's ever gone the distance with Creed, and if I can go that distance, you see, and that bell rings and I'm still standin', I'm gonna know for the first time in my life, see, that I weren't just another bum from the neighborhood.
