Putting some miles on my hiking boots this week...

Well, the time has come. In about 2 hours we (my Dad and I and a small group) will be on the road to Colorado. We are going backpacking, 6 days in the wilderness. This will be my second backpacking trip also the longest so far. We went to the Grand Canyon in October, did it rim to rim in 3 days. This time we are going to the Weminuche Wilderness in Colorado. Hiking to Flint Lakes, then around and down to Emerald Lake then out, 6 days with 2 'zero' days. 'Zero' day meaning doing nothing but fishing. My pack initially weighed 42lb, but i have since cut the weight down to 36.5lb. Not bad for a 6 day pack. Elevation will range from 8,000' to 12,000'. I live at 6,507' above sea level, altitude shouldn't be an issue until we get up around the 12k' mark, I go hiking often at 10k' and never have an issue. I will be sure to post pics when I get back.

Sweet! Have an Awesome time - can't wait to see pics!

This used to be where  my weight loss progress bar was. Maybe it will be here again when I'm ready to face the scale and work on my fat problem.
