So true. Ever since I 1st say Layer Cake I new Daniel Craig would make a killer Bond. Still think Connery was the best though, but who doesn't honestly.

Hope this doesnt suck like the other Craig ones...maybe because he SUCKS as Bond. I've tried 3 times to make it through Quantum and cant do it. Casino was tolerable at best. Of course Craig does make Dalton's Bond look good, never thought that could happen. I'm also having a newfound respect for Moore & Lazenby's Bond too. Of course Connery and Pierce were the best!!!

I dunno, KAllen...I liked Casino Royale an awful lot. Quantum, though, sucked IMO almost as hard as Die Another Day. It's interesting, though, how much the quality of the screenplays fell off the table once Danjaq and the Broccolis ran out of Ian Fleming source material. Moore and Brosnan had some truly s----y screenplays to work with.

Personally I feel that Daniel Craig is the only bond I've liked. But then so are the movies. As a whole I've just found them sort of boring/annoying until the craig model came along. I am very excited about this.

Quantum of Solace's poor quality was at least partly to blame on the 2007 writer's strike. Apparently they were forced to shoot with a draft that would have otherwise been improved, and Marc Forster and Daniel Craig were doing re-writes on set. But they still decided to shoot the whole thing without a steadicam or a tripod to prevent anyone from following the action scenes.

The Opera scene was awesome, though.

With the exclusion of GoldenEye, i know this feel. They always felt like the same movie, and there was never any character growth or development. it was just heres the badguy, heres your weapons, go blow shit up. sure there were some epic scenes and awesome quotes, but they never really caught my attention. the craig series so far seems to actually have a story it wants to tell, and that makes it a lot more interesting to me.

Craig's Bond played Texas Hold 'em...Bond doesn't play Hold'em!!! He plays Baccarat. Craig is more like a street thug in a tux. Craig actually gives Dalton some creadibilty he never had before...and that's sad. I can only hope that this blasphme of Bond doesn't last long and they hire somebody who is worth a crap!!!

Daniel Craig does make me think more highly of Dalton's Bond. I think Dalton had a better grasp of what the psychology of a guy like Bond would need to be. He'd need to be brutal in general, yet still have a handful of people to whom he was fiercely loyal.

But I would argue that Craig does the same thing, but without the polish and precision that years of field missions would give. Skyfall, at least as far as the trailer goes, looks like it'll be adding some of that polish back. Adding Q alone brings things a bit further back to the glory days. I forget why there's a picture of Pierce Brosnan being awesome attached to this, but enjoy it all the same.
