katpower
I make a semi-guacamole (without exactly knowing what goes into guacamole...) - smooshed up avocado, mixed with chopped up tomato, lemon juice and veggie stock powder. I like it with con chips, but it could go in rolls, burgers or whatnot. Living Less Lardy http://www.myfitnesspal.com/shadowkat57https://www.fitocracy.com/profile/shadowkat Link to comment
BeckyBuckeye
Now I'm craving avocados. Guess I'm buying some at the store tonight Link to comment
RaeVynn
Yup. Avocados are so very good.Just a hint of sea salt, and eat it right from the shell...I'm going to have to try baking them! Never heard of that. And I, too, lived beside an avocado grove as a child. They are the BEST trees for climbing! RaeVynn Revs it Up Link to comment
superultrakami
My two favorite ways to eat them are sliced in sandwiches/burgers, or as guacamole on my taco shop food =DI was always taught to quickly ripen them in a brown paper bag in a cool dark place. You also have to eat them soon after opening them because they oxidize very very quickly (a little citrus like lemon juice will slow the process though). Robot_Monerz
One of my favourite things to do is cut up an avocado, crumble some goat cheese, add sliced almonds, and a little bit of a Greek vinaigrette. So yummy! You can make various versions of this: feta cheese instead of goat cheese; another type of vinaigrette; add spinach, cucumber or tomatoes. The possibilities are endless! Link to comment
