Korvin
So, completed my first "race" ever this past Saturday. 8k Mud Run (www.asymcamudrun.com). Though it was definitely more sand than mud given the location it was held. I paired up with my friend's GF because she was wanting to do a race too. My wife smartly decided to volunteer to hand out refreshments and food in the tents. Here are some pics of me being awesome. After "running" for alittle over a mile on the beach for the first half we were kinda spent, so we ended up fast walking the rest of it with the occasional runs on parts that were not consumed with sand. Finished in 1:44:10. Oh, and our team name was "Seemed like a Good Idea at the Time".I plan on doing a race a month, next one on the horizon is a 5k "mini" version of the Rock N' Roll Half-Marathon that comes here every year in Sept. Then me and the wife are gonna do the Susan G Komen Race for a Cure 5k in October.........THEN! There is this bad boy in November... http://greatamericanmudrun.com . Seems way more Ninja-Warriorish than the one I just did. Don't know how they packed so much in with only 5k of space. Muhahaha. Lvl 1 Human Ranger in TrainingSTR 4 | DEX 3 | STA 2 | WIS 2 | CON 1 | CHA 3 Link to comment
Thilde
OMG WAHOO for you! That is awesome, and those pics are great! I am doing the Komen 5k (in Maine) in September, the Mountain RAID (a trail obstacle run) in October, and the Mt Diablo 10k trail run in CA in November with my brother. I love mud and obstacle runs. Your pics are great inspiration!(p.s. your team name is excellent too. ) Link to comment
