Pat G Posted August 30, 2012 Report Share Posted August 30, 2012 You want to get beastly, depending on what you mean by beastly, you can build yourself a good strength platform with some basic strength training as Razor suggested above. Once you get that base level of strength down, you can add in Power training, you could then have a go at training the olympic lifts (ie clean and jerk & the snatch). Olympic weightlifters have been proven to have a ridiculously high vertical leap even when compared to other Olympic atheletes. "Strength is the cup.
