Lanius
So I've donated blood pretty regularly for about 2 years now, initially it was just to determine my blood type (O positive) but then I figured it was my way of giving back for all the blood my family has received for all their various surgeries and medical issues. Today I receive a call from the local blood center telling me that my donation led to saving three lives. I don't know any of the circumstances, but it's still nice to think that sitting in a comfy chair for an hour and surviving my fear of needles helped keep some people doing what they do. It goes without saying that I think everyone who can donate blood should. Link to comment
Khep
Great post! It's always an amazing feeling to get a call like that. I miss giving blood and am happy that my donation ban will be up soon.
