Herbies
HeyAh just signed up. I currently reside in Brisbane, Australia. I decided and have signed up to join the RAAF, and have an interview in a few weeks time, but also have a physical test. I am really hoping my decision to join the Australian Defence Force works, as my life hasn't been that great the past few months. What I want to achieve is reaching the set requirements as a minimum, which is reaching a level of 6.5 in a shuttle run, 10 push ups and 20 sit ups. Personal Goals for me are: >Confidence in my self Physically >Able to run/jog consistently for 30 minutesI am strong enough to do the push ups required, but need to work on my sit ups. What I need most help in would be the shuttle run, I am not much of a runner. I have been trying to go for jogs, but to no avail, gone twice in the past 2-3 weeks. I also need to find some motivation besides this being a life changing opportunity. Link to comment
DanielWallen
I've heard good things about "Couch to 5K," but am not familiar with it. Have you tried interval training -- i.e., alternating sprints with a light jog? Doing this had carry-over effects for endurance jogs for me personally, and it's simply a fun way to mix-it-up and keep things interesting. Best wishes with your goals!
