Awkward, Squishy Nerd Here

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I'm in my mid-twenties, female, and have become fairly squishy lately. I'm not trying to lose much weight in terms of numbers (20-25 pounds at most) but am definitely looking to upgrade my lifestyle in the process, to become more disciplined, more healthy, and more confident. I care more about how I look and feel than my weight. I love soccer, kickboxing, and yoga, but haven't been doing much of any of these lately due to apathy and getting used to a new city and work schedule.

About me...I love to read (sci-fi, dark fiction, speculative fiction, literary fiction, nonfiction...). I'm writing the first draft of my first novel, I work full time, and I'm really into foreign languages. I'm working on Chinese at the moment. I'm curious about pretty much everything and love to discuss books, movies, pop culture, philosophy, writing, cats...you name it. The social stuff is hard for me, I'm super awkward when I'm trying to get to know people, but open up a lot once I'm comfortable with people (I am the worst small-talker ever).

I'm also hoping to meet some great people on here to help me stay motivated and talk about goals and stuff.
