pistol squats!

I did my first real pistol squats with no assistance or weight for balance today.

now, why is this such a big deal?

this was one of my goals from my first challenge here on NF in AUGUST.

This was before i started really lifting or doing anything serious. I just bought a book of exercises, saw the pistol, and said "OMGIWANTTODOTHAT!"

It's the first thing I got really excited about working towards.

Needless to say, I learned that they're ridiculously hard ridiculously fast :) I've had to work on gaining a ton of strength (thanks dantes!) and total flexibility (thanks alethea!) to get this down.

so yeah.

hahaha yes. getting down = flexibility, getting up = strength :)

have added these into my regular schedule now, and have done sets of 10 :) still a little wobbily sometimes, but working on it!
