After years of arm/back problems, finally: real push-ups, tricep dips & doing weights

When I was a teenager I wanted to be a musician.  I practised the piano 8 hours a day.  I ignored the pain in my arms.  Then one day, in a French lesson, I couldn't pick up my pen.

...Fast-forward through years of physiotherapy, treating tendonitis, tennis elbow, finding out I have spine kyphosis & arthritis in my back (at 15!) etc...

I'd often not picked up weights because afterwards my arm would hurt in the same way that it had hurt all those years ago, and as a computer programmer I needed my hands!

But since I joined NF 2.5 challenges ago, I started off doing light weights, got progressively heavier, and gone from falling flat on my face (last challenge) when attempting knee push-ups to being able to do the real thing!!

Yesterday, I knocked out 10 proper push-ups before bed time.  Okay, my form is probably not perfect, but I'm now bending my arms enough for me to say that they're real!  Same goes for tricep dips with straight legs.

First time in my life!

So pleased :D
