Knightwatch
I sure like crazyass workout videos and training montages and such. I've spread a few out here and there, but figured I'd collect a bunch in one place. Y'know, one stop shopping for a pre-workout pump-up. Post your favorites! They could be from movies, fight training, real workouts...whatever inspires you. And away we go! Knightwatch
So, here's one.http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTTP8gsJPd0So I don't mean to use a totally cliched term here, but seriously, I find this wicked cool, how clearly empowered these women are. Any one of them could totally smoke 98% of the guys I know. Also, great editing, and a great lil' tune. Knightwatch
While the song is one of the most overused lifting songs ever, hey, it works. DeFranco's gym is so intense. Knightwatch
Can't imbed this one, but man, just goes to show you how fitness doesn't have to take long, or be too complicated. Two moves. Power Cleans and Burpees. And it leaves some of the world's fittest totally gassed.http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/CrossFit_WoD101015_AF_HPCBurpee.mov(also, wicked cool song.) Knightwatch
Awesome. Clean to overhead, 300 x 3 I like how even the judges were freaking out. Knightwatch
So, a lot of the Crossfit-based vids are post are all about the hardcore crazy side of it. But there's another aspect, which is the one that makes me go back. Maybe a little dramatic right at the end with the "core of my soul" and such, but yeah, this video definitely captures the spirit of most places. My box is way way smaller, but it's not uncommon to see little tykes and pets running all over. It's absolutely a community. Love this video! Knightwatch
Can't embed this, but here's a wicked cool video of Dave Tate and some other top powerlifters doing their thing. The first part in interesting, but be warned that, a) there's profanity, so might not be work-safe; and it might be boring. But, I suggest skipping forward to about five minutes in, and watch Tate battle his infamous Death Squat. Just awesome, and the voice over is dramatic but does in fact add something.http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/death_squatDamn. Dude's a machine. Lowenna
Thanks for posting, these are amazing. The women of crossfit and the martial arts one are my favourites. This is the first time I saw parkour and every time I see it I want to start jumping over stuff. Parkour > the car Skip to 1:05 to miss out all the boring crap at the beginning. Knightwatch
This is my old gym, before I started going to Crossfit. I'm gonna have to get back there once in a while. It's such an awesome facility with, as you can tell, a bunch of supportive characters that like lifting the right way. This was a couple years back. I wanted to be there for this, but had to work. My roommate is in it though; he misses on their weight he goes for here, but has since blown that number away.Note the coolest part of this: it isn't a competition. It's just a day set aside for people to set PRs on their deadlift, supported by folks that understand what an awesome lift it is.Best part? 70 year old Fred Peterson. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vm6GfV6oC4 Quote "The world will never starve for want of wonders, but for want of wonder." --GK Chesterton Domine, non sum dignus ut intres sub tectum meum, sed tantum dic verbo et sanabitur anima mea... http://www.facebook.com/#!/jbaileysewell Link to comment
