Hi, I'm Erica from California. I found NerdFitness from The Blog of Impossible Things and really liked...well, just about everything.

As for my background, I took up running at the beginning of the year and started doing the interval training as well, and I've been a belly dancer for four years. I'm becoming more serious about my fitness and diet because even though I've been slim all my life, as I crawl towards 30, I notice that I seem to be going the way of all the women in my family, where our metabolism drops out. Plus there's a whole host of weight-related conditions that run in my family that I'm trying to avoid.

Apart from that, I've got about a million hobbies, hardly any that can be grouped together, and it took me about half an hour just to figure out how to add interval training and body weight workouts to my running and dance practice schedule!
