Hi everyone,

 

I’m JJ and I just wanted to make a quick introduction and to
tell you a bit about myself.  I’m a 29
year old man from Scotland and currently I’m 5,11†and 247lbs.

 

I’m starting out on the paleo diet this week and starting to
go on a 30 minute walk every night as well. 
It basically has stemmed from an addiction to fizzy drinks where I could
drink 2ltr a day and that’s most days. 
That’s now been given up and started buying all the correct food to live
and eat the correct way.

 

I’m hoping to go down to 15 stone so that’s losing 40lbs and
I really hope that I can do it.  I joined
the gym last year and was going three times a week but still was addicted to
the fizzy drinks.  I’ve also recently
stopped smoking.

 

Like many of you on here I’m a bit of a geek and my job
involves me sitting at a desk for 9 hours a day 5 day’s a week.  I’m now unfortunately at the stage that I can’t
afford to keep the gym membership up so any advice would be more than welcome.   I don’t want to get down to super skinny or
anything like that just try and loose the big beer/fizzy drinks belly that I’ve
amassed.



My goals are:

 

  • Give up smoking

  • Give up fizzy drinks

  • Exercise without the gym for 30 min a day

  • Adopt the paleo diet
  • Lose those 40 lbs so I can feel better about
    myself.

 

So please any help, tips or anything at all please let
me  know, my body is starting to make me
feel down and it’s not a good way to be.

There are many ways to work out without a gym, the assassins, monks, scouts and druids especially have some good ideas on that.  You may want to look into getting in on the challenge that starts today. Welcome to the rebellion!
